In the middle of everything.Posted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: Location, view outside the windows.
Location: Museums, Notre Dame, the Seine, art galleries, markets, good restaurants from cheap to pricey, district is named after the oldest church in Paris near
Small hotel in the middle of everything. Helpful staff with a sense of humor, especially Kurt, the Dutchman. The world's smallest elevator. I'm certain it's one of the best values in Paris.

Dear Bob, What a pleasure to read your kind comment! We are glad to see that you had a nice stay at Welcome Hotel. And Koert was happy to learn that he as a sense of humor!! But we do all think he has! The lift has a "Parisian" size, but do not worry, engine is new and it works well! We will be pleased to welcome you back for another Parisian trip. Regards,

Great location, great staff!Posted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: Location was great, price was great for the location, staff all spoke English and were helpful. Comfortable and convenient!
Cons: For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to take a shower without getting the water everywhere. Please, put up a shower curtain.
Location: Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Grocery store across the street. Art galleries line the road to the river.
Hotel was in a great location! We walked to the Lourve, Notre Dame, Musee d'Orsay, and along the river. Everything was within a 10-15 minute walk. There are a few metro stops nearby, but why use the metro if it takes the same amount of time to get there by walking? All the staff spoke English and were very helpful. The hotel is old and in the middle of the city, so it is small and a bit run down. But it has comfortable beds, we had no issues with noise, and the elevators were small, but that is all expected given the age of the property.

Dear Helen, Thank you very much for your comment about the Welcome Hotel. We totally understood why you enjoyed the area. We can tell you that we love working there too! It is e central location and very lively district. Welcome Hotel is an old building which explains the corridors, the lift and size of rooms. It will be a pleasure to welcome you back for your next stay in Paris. Best Regards

Nice, friendly hotel with decent (if small) rooms at a great location - right by the Blvd St Germain

Dear RS, Thank you for kind message. Saint-Germain Des Près is a very nice location with a village atmosphere. We are glad to read that you felt same atmosphere in the hotel. Welcome Hotel is an old Parisian building which explains size of rooms. We will be pleased to see you again at Welcome Hotel for another stay in Paris. Kind Regards

Location is everything.Posted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: Helpful, friendly reception.
Location: Superb. Major landmarks within walking distance.
Ratings such as this are subjective. What you see is what you get with this place; a no frills establishment which provides a modest level of comfort. For the traveller seeking a bed for the night and not much more this is the place to be. Why? The tariff is reasonable, the receptionists are friendly and the lift is is something one needs to experience at least once in a lifetime. What makes this place an absolute winner is its position in the centre of Paris. Walk out the door and within short walking distance are the landmarks for which this city is renowned; the Louvre, Notre Dame, Pont Neuf et al. I've stayed here twice and if I have the good fortune to return to Paris I would be more than happy to do so again.

Dear Frank, We thank you for your comment about Welcome Hotel. Our hotel is an old Parisian building with old Parisian size. The lift is an experience, yes. But do not worry, even if it seems old, the engine is new! You will not find a 3 or 4 star offer at Welcome Hotel but a simple comfort, nice decoration and a 5 star staff! We hope to see you soon at Welcome Hotel. Best Regards,

Great location.Posted Aug 8, 2013
Excellent location which just about justified the price, which would otherwise have been a bit shocking given the tiny room size. Desk staff really relaxed and helpful.

Dear Family, We thank you for taking time to write a comment about the Welcome Hotel. Saint-Germain des Près is a wonderful area, full of cafés, restaurants and nice shops. And it is one of the most expensive district of Paris. We were all pleased to read that you enjoyed the location as much as we do. It will be a pleasure to see you soon at Welcome Hotel. FRIENDLY AND CLEANPosted Aug 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
GREAT LOCATION AND HELPFUL STAFF. ROOM CLEAN AND AIR CONDITIONED. VERY SMALL BUT THAT WAS FINE. THE MATTRESS WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND THAT WAS THE ONLY WEAKNESS. WE STAYED TWICE IN A WEEK IN DIFFERENT ROOMS AND EACH TIME THE ROOM WAS SPOTLESS BUT THE MATTRESS UNCOMFORTABLE.

Dear Guest, We thank you for taking time to write a comment on Expedia. Saint-Germain Des Près is a very nice area, full of old shops and restaurants. Welcome Hotel is one of those old Parisian buildings and the age explains size of rooms and bathrooms. We paid much attention to comfort and decoration. You will be pleased to learn that we changed all the mattresses at the beginning of the month. However, we are sorry to read that you did not sleep well. We hope to welcome you back and to make you test our new mattresses. Regards,

Good hotel for summer weekend in ParisPosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: Air conditioning and location.
Cons: Tiny shower with a faucet that kept getting knocked each time you turned around in the shower and turned off the water. Ineffecttive design.
Location: Excellent location. Lively pedestrian street. Gelato across the street. Boulangerie on the corner. Many bars and restaurants to choose from.
The Welcome Hotel is in a great location for dining, walking to the river, using the metro, shopping and visiting the Jardin de Luxembourg all in the 6th Arr. It has a lift (albeit very tiny) and air conditioning which was essential the July weekend I visited when temperatures were over 30 degrees. The rooms are small, but as I was out all day this did not matter. My room had double galzed windows which prevented the street noise from keeping me awake. The staff were very friendly and professional and there is someone on reception 24 hours.
