ski in ski out option with kids

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Resort has lots to offer...can't wait for PCM chairlift connection. Bus ride is a not ideal. Mountain ski is first class Try mid-mtn Waffle House!
Cons: Hotel room HVAC failed to operate for 5 of 6 days. First AC (during 60 degrees days) then Heat during cold nights. Staff was courteous and willing
Location: Ski access is awesome...ski beach, chair lifts, gondola, resort facilities all at your door step! Bus to PCM to be replaced with chair lift in 2016!
Great location on face of mountain just steps from 2 major chair lifts. Our room was basic and acceptable but lack of mini-bar and lack of refrigerator was disappointing. Yet, we walked 10 steps and began skiing/snowboarding each morning. View of mountain was excellent as was access to all amenities needed for family of 3 iincluding heated outdoor pool and separate 7/11 nearby.

Very convenient and kid friendly!

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Having everything you need right there at the village. Both kids were in ski school and they loved their instructors. We all had a great time.
Cons: Hallways smelled awful, but it was from someone cooking. Hallways and room décor is dated, but clean and comfortable.
Location: Everything at your fingertips. The Village has shops and restaurants, ski rentals and ski schools.
The staff and hotel were great. The rooms could use a refresher on the décor, but overall we would stay there again. Nice having spacious rooms so no one feels cramped. The kids slept on the pullout and didn't mind. Hotel staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. This is our 2nd time staying there and plan to return next year as well. Everything is just so easy and convenient.

Great Family Resort

Posted Mar 7, 2015
Pros: Location, great room with balcony, design/layout, restaurants and shops.
Cons: the rooms were a little dated but still in pretty good shape
Location: Several lifts right out the back door. Ski rental a short stroll away.
I stayed here in Feb 2015 with my wife and 2 young boys and our room was very large at a great price. The proximity to the lifts is fantastic and the ski room is ideal for holding your skis overnight. The food was very good and so was the atmosphere. The gift shop and coffee shop were excellent for refreshments and everything surprisingly more affordable than other similar type resorts. I would definitely stay here again.

Good access; need more food options

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: Ski-in, ski-out location. Good access from SLC airport.
Cons: Better quality restaurants in the Canyons village (currently most were fully reserved during ski week), a better stocked market, and food in suites.
Location: $20 cab ride to Park City was easy.
The staff needs better training - they didn't give us our morning wake up call on the day of our flight departure and in general had a too casual attitude, such as not greeting guests as they walked up to the front. Also, despite paying for a two-bedroom suite, there was no food in the room and the local 'market' was very under-stocked, e.g., virtually no fruit or anything healthy to snack on after a day on the slopes.

Good location ski in ski out

Posted Feb 21, 2015
King room was small, nothing like photo. Noisy with family next door like they were in our room. Staff were unhelpful. Always "not my job" Left 4 messages with concierge bell desk etc and not one call back Would never go back.

Walk out to the lifts

Posted Feb 7, 2015
Very attentive staff. I was staying with my ten year old daughter. We had to leave the slopes in the afternoon to return rental equipment and drive to the airport. The staff arranged to have our equipment returned while we changed clothes. Our bags were packed in the car by the time we changed. Great experience. I will recommend to all who want a convenient and comfortable ski weekend.

Pros: Location - if you want to ski the Canyons, this is a great hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Rooms were small with no sitting area in hotel room. The patio was nice but it was too cold to sit outside.
Location: Park City is about a 10 minute drive away. They offer a free shuttle bus, but you have to catch it on the hour.
Stayed at The Grand Summitt Hotel at the end of January 2015. The hotel was clean and staff were very friendly. The hot tub was a treat after a long day of skiing. Ask for robes in advance so you don't have to freeze when you exit the pool area. Access to Canyons ski area was very convenient and they offer a place to store your skiies but not your boots and poles so be prepared to walk the halls in your ski boots.

Excellent location to ski slopes.

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Accomodations were great and we enjoyed the proximity to the ski slopes.
Cons: Housecleaning didn't do all of the dishes or make up the sofa bed.
Location: Skiing and shopping.
Our 1 bedroom suite was spacious and well appointed. Great views of the ski slopes and the pool. Staff were very friendly. Can't wait to go back!
