Older decor hotel/condo but can't be location

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Location to Main Street and PC Transit in front.
Cons: Decor - it's very 1970's and the furniture could use updating, too. Both beds stayed in this trip and in July need to be retired.
Location: Literally at the base of PCMR, you can walk to the Market, take PC Transit to Main Street, hike/bike PCMR and more.
This is the second time I've stayed here, though not my first time to Park City and stayed at other hotels/condos in the area. While this hotel/condo has an older decor and the bed definitely felt more than "broken in," you can't be the location. You're at the base of PCMR and the PC Transit runs all day, so getting around town is convenient and free. The pool is decent but kids tend to dominate, so beware if you're looking for zen. There is a washer & dryer avail with quarters, again a convenience if you go hiking, skiing, etc and want to travel with clean clothes back home. The front desk staff (Russian guy - forgot his name) and Cara/Kara? were always helpful. All in all, for the price in Park City, you can't beat it...just needs some modern design love.

Nice room, great location, but noisy.

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Great location. Great price. Cozy room. Helpful staff.
Cons: This is an old building, and I am guessing steel construction that transmits noise and vibration. Not much you can do about it.
Location: Great location for hiking and mountain biking. Bike rentals are literally right outside your door. Hiking and biking trails on site.
The room was fine in every respect except the noise. Every time a room door or corridor door slammed shut anywhere near our room, you could hear the noise and feel the vibration. You could feel the footsteps from the rooms above.Luckily, during the week there were very few people staying there, but the Saturday night we were kept up till about 11 PM because of the noise. If you stay up late, not a problem. If you go to bed early, could be a problem.

Mer...

The room was decent. Upgrades had been made to an old building. Our bedding had not been changed and that was disgusting BUT housekeeping came right up and fixed that for us. I doubt we will go back there again.

Thank you for taking the time in letting us know about your most recent stay. I was disappointed to hear about the challenge with your bedding. During the summer season our housekeeping department only does a towel and trash service during your stay. I apologize if this was not relayed to you. Thanks again, Gary Gregg, GM

comfortable room, especially for a family or group

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: spacious room
Cons: since the hotel is in several buildings, having a printed map of the actual hotel buildings on check-in would have been very helpful
Location: very close to town. It's a ski town.
would have liked to know there was NO air conditioning BEFORE I confirmed my reservation, though it wasn't needed. Never could find the elevator.

Family getaway

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Everyone had their own bedroom, nice kitchen and furnished beautifully, close to surrounding activities.
Location: Close to all the mountain activities.
We stayed in one of the 1500 sq ft suites, it was perfect to accommodate 3 adults and 3 children with room to spare.

Absolutely Awful

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: location is good, but that's it
Cons: air conditioning, cleanliness
There was no air conditioning in the unit and this was hidden in the fine print. The layout of the hotel is awful, signage is difficult and the staff was rude. The swimming pool area was not very clean, and there were about 20 kids doing cartwheels in the pool with no supervision. I had to leave the window open to get any air, and then the city bus kept me up all night. This was probably one of the worst hotels I have every stayed at. Very disappointed.

I was disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at the LMV. We list no A/C with Expedia, directly on the site to inform guests of this situation. However, I can fully understand the frustration and will continue to discuss this with our management team. Thank you for your review, Gary Gregg, GM

Stopover on trip home

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: It was clean. Bed was comfortable. There was easy access to restaurants and activities.
Cons: Fans in the room when there is no air conditioning.
Location: There were lots of activities in Park City. Either at the lodge itself or a short bus ride away to visit Main Street.
The room was very nice. The only problem was with no air conditioning in the summer. I knew that there was none, so a fan to help circulate the air would have been nice. Front staff was very nice, but instructions on how to get to the room need to be a little clearer. Overall, the room was what I was looking for for an overnight stay. Would probably be too small for a longer trip.
