Awesome renovated hotel from the late 1800'sPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: How it was decorated for the era that it was originally built
Cons: one elevator a little slow
Location: Historical sites to see nearby. We were there for a class reunion.
Staff very accommodating. Good restaurant in hotel .

The staff was excellent in service and providing uPosted May 20, 2013
Pros: The location and staff.
Cons: The hot water in the shower was at best tepid..even with adjustment.
This is a southern hospitality at its best. The staff anticipated your needs and were extremely helpful. It would have been nice ahead of time to know that the second floor is haunted! We did not have any encounters.

most wonderful graduation weekendPosted May 7, 2013
Pros: every thing
Location: Thats the only downfall.. nothing around the hotel
I brought in family from all over the country for my son's Ohio University graduation. The entire weekend was magical. We used and enjoyed every space....semi private dining room, the outside patio and an upstairs party room after dinner. Everything was beautifully done.

Great for couples getaway, very romantic.Posted Oct 17, 2012
Pros: Breakfast on the patio
Location: Charming location downtown
Rooms are very pretty, bathrooms are clean but not perfect (grout missing on some tile around door, etc). Overall much better than 99% of most chain hotels, and decor and architecture is charming. Very quiet, restaurant is very nice. Ate breakfast on the patio, which was beautiful. We come here every year for our anniversary because we became engaged in Parkersburg, and will continue to return every year.

One night stayPosted Oct 10, 2012
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: the limited menu for room svc
Location: very easy to find
I found the room svc menu was very limited in choices for both breakfast and dinner. We ended up going across town by the mall to eat, For the cost of the room I would have thought it would have been better equipped. Also when asked the front desk about tickets for Blennerhassett Island we were never notified of the special so we ended up spending more money in the long run by buying every ticket alacarte,

Elegant Hotel with a Great StaffPosted Aug 25, 2012
Pros: Room service, breakfast in the lobby, elegant appearance of the hotel
Our stay at The Blennerhassett Hotel could not have been better. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel has an air of old-fashioned elegance, but is newly-renovated and has modern, clean amenities. We had more than enough space in our room, the linens and towels were clean, and the room service was swift and quite delicious. Coffee and fresh-baked breakfast scones and muffins made the morning for both me and my kids. Within 30 minutes of Ohio University, I've already booked another stay for the fall.

Absolutely CharmingPosted Jan 10, 2012
Pros: Convenience, comfort and affordable luxury.
Location: Very convenient. We didn't have time to explore downtown Parkersburg, but there were lots of people around and everyone was enjoying themselves!
The reviews on this one are right on target! I still cannot believe you could stay in a hotel of this quality for the rate offered. I honestly was not expecting it to be as nice as it was and will definitely stay there again - only I won't arrive late and leave first thing in the morning like I had to this time. Bell Service included complimentary valet parking and after a delightful stroll through the hotel to our room, we arrived to find ice and first-rate amenities. The room decor is so inviting, and the bedding/mattress were very comfortable. The robes, bathroom heat lamp and option to override hot water settings were nice touches!
