Good for getting about and close to the autoroutesPosted Sep 29, 2013
Pros: The pool area.
Cons: The aircon was not the greatest
Location: One kilometer from the start of the area centro, an easy walk. Close to the autoroute to Milan.
From the start the staff were friendly and when we found our charger was good in France but not Italy, they let us borrow a personal one. Open and hospitable with good rooms. The air on was not the greatest but it did not detract from the visit at all.

Wonderful service!Posted Jul 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
We spent one night at the Best Western Farnese in a family room (one double and bunk beds). The receptionist was very friendly, he spoke many languages and made us feel welcome. The kids enjoyed the outdoor pool and we had dinner at their restaurant. The food was excellent and the server, Marco, went above and beyond so we would have an excellent experience. He explained the dishes in detail and let us sample different wines and liquors from the region. Breakfast was included and offered a wide variety of cold cuts, fruits, breads, cereal etc Parma was about 15 min away by car but for our stopover it was the perfect location.

Great staff and cleanPosted Oct 24, 2012
Staff was very helpful, room was great. Hotel is a little far from center to walk but the bus stop was very close. Hotel seemed to have more of a business clientele.

Not too convenient to CentroPosted Dec 2, 2011
Location: Parma is a wonderful place to visit and to eat the local cuisine. Great for a couple of days.
It is about two kilometers away from the historical center--so about a 25 minute walk. Other problem is breakfast room is too small, so you will have to wait for a table at morning rush hour. Positives are free/plentiful parking, free wifi. No problem with service or room.

Lift your game in the reception.Posted Jun 19, 2011 on Hotels.com
We knew we would have to wait to check in as the train we caught got in too early (12.00 noon). We explained this to the check in people and they said we would have to wait 2 hours. Fair enough - we understand that.. We sat and waited for 2.5 hours then I asked the desk politely "is a room likely to be ready soon"?. It apprears the room had been ready for some time. The check in staff just didn't notice us in the foyer right in front of them. There would not have been any other staff in any other hotel in Europe that would not have at least kept us informed at least once in 2.5 hours we sat in front of them. In the room, the tap fell off and the shower plug was not working. 4 star - not a chance. Hotels need to realise that 1st impressions last and 4 Seasons you have lost a customer.
