Minutes away from the portPosted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent value for money. Staff was extremely courteous, helpful and knowledgeable about Paros. Room was in tip top shape and looked like it had been recently refurbished. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Clean, Nice, Close to BeachPosted Jun 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a really nice, clean hotel. The location is ok or people who like to walk.....a block back from a quiet beach, and a ten minute walk from the port. It looks like they will pick you up from the port if you have lots of luggage or are lazy. The price was very, very good. They did not warn us about the Greek toilet paper rule, so there was some plug action the morning after.

Very nice hotelPosted Aug 9, 2012 on Hotels.com
Apollon was very nice - clean, new, nice modern decor. We had an issue with our booking, there was a mistake and the receptionist was not very understanding. We ended up paying extra that we shouldn't have. When asked to speak to the manager, we were denied access. However, the doorman who overheard the conversation was so friendly and helped to ensure our stay was good. He suggested a fabulous local restaurant and some other tips on how to enjoy exploring Split. The hotel is not extremely close to the old town, but its walking distance (about 15 minutes). We were only there one night, and despite the rude receptionist, we liked the hotel. Nice big rooms and good showers. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was also pretty good. Lots of selection!

Love hotelPosted May 29, 2012 on Hotels.com
My wife and I have stayed here three times. We love the staff and the location cannot be beaten. It has a great view of the Acropolis and it is in the heart of the Plaka. We highly recommend.

Photos of this hotel were a bit misleading, as our room was outdated and a bit run-down.

like the norman bates hotel from psychoPosted Jul 29, 2009
This hotel is a creepy, haunted house-type hotel. It totally reminded me of the bates hotel from psycho. the decor was so old-fashion, the floor creaked, and our AC dripped water throughout the night. one night we brought home leftover food and ate it on one of the tables in the dinning room and the owner (an old lady) yelled her head off in greek. also, the receptionist at night was a little kid who couldn't speak english. another discomfort was that the only available computer with internet access in the hotel could not be used from 8 at night to 8 in the morning...or even later in the morning. it was a weird, bizaare stay at apollon hotel. also, the hotel's photos are misleading.

Great location and hospitalityPosted May 24, 2009
We walked from the port to the hotel and had no problem finding the hotel with our backpacks. When we arrived, the hotel staff are very accomodating and friendly. We had a choice between two rooms, one with a double bed which was a smaller room and another with a double and a single bed. I think that we were lucky to have had this chance; we picked the one with the single & double bed. The shower is hand held, after each shower the washroom floor gets really wet even the toilet seat but this was not a problem for us. The AC is old, doesnt really work properly, at times we were too hot/cold. The breakfast was alright, it was a buffet you get to pick and eat as much as u want (no warm food choices though except for coffee/tea). Although the hotel is old, the decor of the room and the hotel reminded us of an old spanish mixed with a roman villa house. To those who are picky and likes modern hotels, the rooms might not suit your taste. The real best part about this hotel were the staff, very friendly and hospitable. I recommend this hotel to students who are wanting to save money!

quiet quirky hotel in ParikiaPosted Aug 8, 2008
Quite a quirky hotel in a quiet area away from hustle and bustle of port area which is 10 mins away. Plenty of tavernas in area that are quieter and less touristy than main strip too.
