NIGHTMAREPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: The lobby was nice.
Cons: THE ENTIRE HOTEL
The pictures of the hotel that are online are not reality..NO INTERNET SERVICE and NOT even with a CABLE...The entire island had internet except YRIA HOTEL.. MANAGER DOES NOT CARE and he was RUDE..A/C was leaking in the room. My son had a fold out bed when I was paying extra($100) for the third person in my room. When the room MAX was 4 people and my booking was for 3 people. NIGHTMARE of a stay..

Bättre internet och gymPosted Aug 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Jättefint hotell. Grymt bra service. Extremt bra frukost. Fin. Stor pool. Lite dyrt i bar och restaurant. Internet tveksamt, funkar näppeligen för mail, inte mer. Gymmets utrustning för billig. Helhetsintrycket mycket bra, trots att det ligger lite offside.

Beautiful, luxurious. peaceful, fantastic poolPosted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
Gorgeous hotel, lovely rooms, utterly wonderful pool. Beds a bit hard, but that seems to be the norm in Greece. Love that you can walk to the beach. Removed from town, but only a quick taxi away.
Excellent for a relaxing holidayPosted Sep 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
We stayed at the Yria hotel for a week in September 2012. It's a lovely resort on a quiet island (well in September anyway). The facilities are good, the rooms spacious, clean and the staff helpful. It truly is five minutes from it's own beach, which is lovely and where we always managed to find a free sun lounger. The spa is small but perfectly formed and the treatments were excellent. On the down side the bathrooms are small and the baths themselves tiny. Also the port is a taxi (8 euros) or a hire car ride away but other than that we had a lovely relaxing stay here. Recommended.

The Yria hotel was very welcoming and the setting and pool area was lovely. However, there were hardly any other guests staying which on the one hand was good as we have a 5 yr old which meant he could play in the pool without disturbing anyone but it meant there was very little buzz - I guess it may have been symptomatic of the economic crisis. A couple of irritants included the lack of a childrens menu (though the staff did produce a toasted cheese sandwich on request albeit they charged a small fortune for it) and the childrens play area mentioned in the hotel information was nowhere to be found. Fortunately the beach was a 5 minute walk down the road where there were a couple of good beach bars and tavernas and the sun loungers were reasonably priced. Overall a very nice hotel though extremely pricey if you want coffee/drinks from the bar.
