“You get what you pay for”

For a budget motel, ABVI is about what you expect. Its run-down but clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. It had the usual amenities. But it is sort of run down. The walls need to be painted, the fixtures are crooked, the lamp shades were dented. if you want a decent, cheap place to stay, this is it. If you want something a little more recently renovated and nicer, you'll want to stay somewhere else.

“Never going back again.”

The people that run the Hotel were very nice, however, the place needs a face lift. Room was dusty in areas and the phone was grimy. People were loud in the hallway from 10 - 1, I ended up getting about 4 hours of sleep. One of the worst places I have stayed in from Expedia.

“Heck of a bad choice”

It started when the office was closed and found this out when we went to the hotel next door to see if we could get a room there. The owner said he owned both locations and said he forgot to put the sign in the door to tell everyone to go to the other office. Got into the room and there was NO HOT WATER! We had just pulled in after driving 12 hours from South Carolina. I wanted to take a warm shower to relax. Not happening here. Called the desk and they said they would get on it. They called back 30 minutes later and said that they could not fix the hot water. Also, the parking lot was not plowed properly. Avoid this location at all costs.

“Nightmare Motel”

This motel was so awful that we ate the cost and found another place that night. It was as seedy as could be - old, cheap looking carpets, doors and furniture and paint job, horrible cigarette smell everywhere, a pool outside our sliding glass door full of trash with a caving in fence. Truly awful.

“The worse hotel I ever stay in.”

This is the first time I ever write a review, and I do so because it has been the worse hotel I have ever stay in and everyone should know before booking here. It is really disgusting how dirty is everything, since we got there the first thing we noticed was a lot of spider webbs on the main hall lights, once in our room it was worse, the toilet was not even cleaned, smoke detector was held by the wires on the wall, it was a real mess. I have stayed in cheaper hotels at beter prices, this is the kind of hotel that might need to pay you to stay and I wouldn't even stay like that.

“GAG!”

We were "upgraded" and had a non smoking room with king size bed. Bed did not have a fitted sheet on the mattress, just a queen size sheet laying over a cotton full mattress pad on the mattress. Sheets were thread bare- you could see through them- tissues would have been thicker. Mattress had burn hole in it. TV & heater worked well. No bulb in one of the floor lamps. Could not take a shower in the morning due to a clogged tub drain which when I tried to pull it up, a dirty fungus toenail came out of the drain- was enough to make me vomit. Bathroom was not clean as there were water marks on the counter and shaved hair. Soap was hard as plastic and wouldn't lather. Hallway light was covered with spider webs. Dirty dishes from night before were left in hallway. If there's a law that you need to wear underware while trying on swimsuits then- this place should be closed down by New Jersey Dept of Health it's that dirty with critters to boot. I'd bet my savings that prisoners get better accommodations. Don't stay here.

“never stay here again”

Bathroom was dirty, rug was separating from wall. Room had a bad smell. Paint was peeling. Was told if I wanted coffee I could walk over to the econolodge next door
