Nice pool to relax aroundPosted Nov 25, 2013
I had a great time here. The price was good and the location was perfect for me. The swimming pool was excellent and must say it was never over crowded. The staff where nice, but there were a few that could do with improving on there manners. Overall I had a great time and would recommend the hotel to all my friends.

I'll be back!Posted Jul 10, 2013
Pros: Great location and value for money, nice hotel!!
Cons: Renovations are a bit of a pain.
Location: Great location, cheap Baht Taxi ride to anywhere.
Green Park Resort is currently undergoing renovations, which is a little inconvenient, mainly when around the pool with all the noise from building works. However put your headphones on and problem solved! The hotel is in need of the reno's and once finished will be an excellent place to stay. The area, and the hotel, is heavily populated with Russian and German tourists. I have read reports that the hotel staff are rude and unhelpful....NOT TRUE!...The staff were great to me and my 13 year old son. I have no doubt the staff take offence to some of the other guests' attitude, utter rudeness and utter disrespect for the Thai people. I saw some of the other guests' attitude towards the staff #and in general# and found it appalling. A simple smile towards the staff, some friendly banter and learning a few simple Thai phrases made the world of difference. I couldn't get a smile out of some of the other guests #very rude#......so how were the staff to cope! I'm sure that not all Russian and German people are like that, but most of the ones I encountered were. Location was GREAT, the local area had a good variety of good bars and restaurants within walking distance, only a short walk to the big round-a-bout to catch a Baht Taxi to go anywhere in Pattaya. 10 Baht #35 cents# each person each trip, to go the length of beach road or Second Road. Plenty to do and see! Would definitely return to Green Park Resort, will be even better when renovations are completed.

What a dumpPosted Jun 2, 2013
Pros: The air conditioning in the room was lovely and cold.
Cons: The rude staff, the noise from the building work, half the pool being closed.
Location: Cracking location out in Naklua and convenient for the 10 Baht bus into Pattaya.
I went to the Green park resort in 2001 and it was great. It had a magnificent pool which is the main reason I booked again. Got there an paid up for the room, First bad experience was when the hotel demanded we pay in GBP sterling with a terrible exchange rate of 43.3 increasing the cost of the stay by 60 GBP per person. The staff were very surly and unpleasant. I've nothing bad to say about the rooms, They were OK but the rest of the hotel was a shambles. There is massive renovation work going on, Half the pools is closed and buildings are being knocked down. The noise at the pool was unbearable. If you don't believe me, check out the photos. Avoid at all costs.

Clean, comfortable rooms with an awesome pool!Posted May 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
We returned to Green Park Resort for our 3rd/4th visits respectively. Imagine our surprise when we were lead to our room, to find it is the same room we stayed in on our very 1st visit :-) Our room was clean & comfy, initially made up as a double (we're a Mum & daughter travelling so require twin beds), we were asked if we would mind waiting til the next morning & the beds would be split (we didn't mind, we split the beds ourselves for a better night's sleep - they're made with a base sheet & topped with a blanket wrapped in 2 sheets, so we had enough to make up 2 beds). The cleaning & maintenance staff do a great job - a light bulb was out in the bathroom, fixed the next day without our identifying the issue. We did learn while staying that rooms are being renovated - the room we stayed in on our last visit had been gutted, we got to watch as it was renovated - layouts are the same, but with a lighter bathroom & room, should be nice! The pool was spotlessly clean, a beautiful temperature (as it catches the sun all day), & great for relaxing. Because of its size even if it is busy you can find a quiet spot to bob along & relax. Breakfast was tasty, though (as per past visits) it was luke warm at best and cold at worst - while buffet style in bain-maries it would appear they aren't heated. The fail-safe is to go for the egg station with fried / scrambled eggs & omelets made to order. If returning to Pattaya we'll definitely stay at Green Park again.

Old but peacefulPosted Mar 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Hotel location is great; close to shopping and food areas and easy to catch a local transportation to go elsewhere. Though the hotel is not right on the beach but it is within the walking distance. The hotel itself is a bit old but it's not too bad. The room was well cleaned and the amenities are sufficient. The way from reception to some rooms can be awkward once the guests will have to walk through the pool area. Breakfast was OK. Plenty of parking spaces.

Our third stay, and we will return again next yearPosted Oct 5, 2012 on Hotels.com
We love staying at the Green Park Resort. Not only are the rooms of a good size (we choose to stay in a standard room as it perfectly suits our needs), but they are comfortable, with everything you need for a good stay (except a bottle opener, but having learned they don't have them in all the rooms, we now bring one with us). The single beds were quite comfortable - firm as is generally the style in Thailand, with one pillow per bed (though we wouldn't mind an extra pillow, we have to admit). The mini fridge works well, there is a small table and chairs in the room so if you prefer not to sit on your bed all the time, you have options. The TVs are still "fat back" style, but work fine, with a reasonable range of stations in varying languages. Each room has either a balcony, or in the case of our ground floor room a great little porch, partially protected from prying eyes by the garden beds immediately in front. Our room overlooked the pool which was absolutely beautiful. The Green Park has without doubt the most magnificent hotel pool we've ever seen - it truly is a lagoon, just lovely to float your worries and stresses away. Breakfast is included, and is OK, though unfortunately is generally luke warm to cold as there is no lid on each bain marie dish so the food goes cold pretty quickly. This would be our only complaint as such, bonus is there is always fresh cooked toast, and you can get tasty omelets from the egg station. Can't wait to stay again.
