Ideal location in central Pattaya close walking distance to beach and shops. I switched to another room. Rooms with alley views are noisy. I switched to the smaller room on other side which is more quiet. Beds are all uncomfortable. No mattresses, only box springs. Shower is extremely small. I would not spend more than 18 USD a night for this budget property. Great Indian restaurant in the lobby.

Booked a room here. Booking stated balcony, king bed, wifi in room and 32 inch tv, No balcony , no window, double bed, no wifi on my floor and a small tv. Do Not stay here. Told me the room I booked the air con was down so gave me a small rubbish room

The location is perfect; near the beach, a mall with many restaurants, CoCo Fitness, and the walking street. The hotel restaurant was closed for the season. There is a small elevator. The room was okay and quiet due to location in the rear of the building. The shower is a tiny space and there a little roaches in the bathroom. The bed was hard which is typical of Thailand. Comes with a safe and refrigerator with two bottles of free water. The cleaning staff knocks on the door and then enters without permission each day. I felt this was intrusive. Doors are slamming 24/7 by the other guests. When you live with Filipinos or Thai they are quiet and respectful. These foreign tourist are intentionally creating this noise.

The wifi worked only intermittently. I had to change hotels as wifi is a non-negotiable for me. A plus= there's an elevator; helpful if you are above level 2 or during your move in or out. The staff is nice.

The worst place ever
Poor and humiliating. Had booked and paid for a superiour room for two nights 5-7/11 2017. When arriving, they only had a standard for me the first night. A filthy, smelly and unconfortable room without window. Next day I got my superiour room which was way better than the slight increase in price according to the local price. 700 for a standard, 800 for a superiour. Still, I found the room poor and the bed hard. The reception refused to compensate me as I had already paid through hotels.com. I have emailed hotels.com and have so far not received any answer. Therefor I might consider using other hotel agencies in future. Greatly disappointed. My ratings are mainly based on my experience the first night in the standard room.

Worst cleaning staff ever
Cleaners did not clean anything, just changed the sheets and towels (one day they even missed leaving clean towels!). WiFi was not good and reception patchy. Check in was a bit concerning as they didn't have my reservation! But accepted it anyway when I showed a print out of the reservation email I received Front desk staff were helpful throughout

positives: i booked a single room at the very last minute. Max Hotel's location was meters away from the beach. the street itself has plenty of eateries - local and international chains, massages and clubs.easy check-in. hotel has a lift. clean en-suite rooms. negatives: free wifi was ok at first but disappeared after i came back from dinner. could not login despite many attempts. when i complained, the staff just said "i don't know". hotel also imposes deposit upon checkin. overall, great location and amenities

Hotel is dated. It's on a small busy bar street with lots of massage places. Bed was hard and lumpy. Bar fridge shuts off when you leave room turning it into an oven. There has to be a cheaper place elsewhere. Location was ideal. No kettle. Extremely small shower. If you're over 220 lbs you won't fit.

This hotel was legit. Me and a friend stayed here (2 rooms) for 5 days while exploring Pattaya. 5 minute walk to the beach, if that. 15 min walk to the mall, 15 min walk to walking street. The street the hotel is on is popular for food street vendors, super cheap and covenient. Even the locals eat off the carts there, other places not so much. Never got sick. If you want to indulge, there's a restaurant downstairs and a cool little bar with a pool table. The staff was super friendly, actually made friends with a couple of them and partied a little bit. I only know English and there was no issues, sometimes a little translation was needed but no big deal. The room was cleaned every day, but I was barely there. kinda grimey, but it's a city, what do you expect? this is not a 5 star hotel but it's location is awesome and I would stay there again for sure.

Hotel very central on busy street with lots of bars but still the rooms (on the 5th floor at the back regarding my stay) were very quiet. I good a good deal so should not complain - but my first room, it was very smelly and stunk of stale cigarette smoke. Also the air con leaked but the staff were good in moving me straight away no complaints. But still, I always think hotels should have separate smoking rooms, because once people smoke it gets in the furniture and fittings and will stink the room forever. Let smokers wallow in their own dirt (though they have no sense of smell so wouldnt even notice) but its not fair for us non smokers

Room bit smelly - but thats because like so many Thai hotels tbey dont maintain separate non-smoking rooms so most rooms smelly of filthy smoke embedded in everything in the room. Anyeay, I diverge. Hotel was so so but I got a great deal. Location was top class. Room was quiet which was great for such a busy street.

Great Value and Unbeatable Entertainment Location
Max Hotel is outfitted top to bottom in high end architectural finishes. Staff are friendly and helpful. Just steps to the beach and close to Walking Street venues. The shower capsule is the size of a coffin, so just stand outside of the enclosure to wash legs and feet! Of 14 nights, 4 times the laundered bed linens had ghastly,and I mean ghastly, stains. King bed had dips. Pillows were beyond their useful life and were heavily stained with tobacco drool. Besides linens and pillows in serious need of attn, a good stay. If your balcony doors are missing their lock, choose another room. Heavy construction across the street, so noisy.

Good place.
It was nice. I have stayed here a couple times. The staff are always friendly and will help you as much as they can. I would recommend staying on the back side as there is a ton of noise on the front. However, overall I would give this place a thumbs up. Very convenient to everything sand the rooms are nice.

Thia was my second stay at this hotel so that in itself should tell you that it is worth the money spent. I had a different style room than last and can recomend both as satisfatory with no dissapointments. My shower was slow to drain but when I reported it to the front desk they acted quickly to repair the situation. Staff are always pleasant but if you don't find this, perhaps it had more to do with your approach. Enjoy.
