“Siam Bayshore”

The best in the hotel is the breakfeast buffett and the Tennis courts! Also break feast staff very friendly! Beside that - high traffic hotel with no detail in cleaning (dirty floor and bed sheet at arrivel, behind the pool horrible smell - night time very loud from closed by disco - stayed there before - still the same room like 1990! For the price they charge are better options in Pattaya!

“Good location and great swimming pool”

The staff at the reception is not very helpful. The bellboys are helpful though. I believe they get a tip for every reservation made through them which is why they like to help out with activities you want to do. Pattaya by itself is not a great place though and I would not recommend families to go there. Even if you have only two nights, go to Phuket or else, stay in Bangkok. Much more to do than in Pattaya.

“Good quiet choice close to Walking Street”

Nice hotel. You can still hear some slight 'thumping' from the discos, depending on where you room is. If you're the 'out until 5 am dancing type', though, it won't matter.

“I love this place!”

This is the nicest hotel in Pattaya. It is perfect! It is right on Walking Street, but the rooms are surrounded by lush tropical grounds and you cannot hear any of the street noise. The rooms are modern and super clean. The staff is an absolute joy. I have been to this hotel four times and plan to go back as soon as posible. I love this place!!!

“Once you arrive, no need to leave the hotel. Best place around the area.”

This hotel was amazing and exceeded all of our expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was great, and the pool was wonderful. The only complaint is that the second pool wasn't very nice and the beach that it is next was very commercial and not a good place for kids to play and swim. (But that is the way all the beaches are in Pattaya.) If you want a "beach" holiday, Pattaya isn't the place, but for fun at the pool and exploring Thailand, this place can't be beat.

Area recommendations

I wouldn't recommend Pattaya for families. The beaches weren't very clean, the water was dirty, and there wasn't much place to play in the sand. The whole area is set up for more "adult" type entertainment. If you are looking to get away and let the kids play at the beach, you'll need to choose a different city. After we walked around the streets outside our hotel, we basically decided that our hotel was our "oasis" and didn't see any need to leave again until we headed to the airport. The beach we went to was covered with chairs that you had to pay to sit in and just not very nice.

“Very Relaxing and Satisfying”

This is a very nice hotel with great location, accommodations and staff. The only negatives were that my room was quite a distance from the lobby and the breakfast buffet was a little pricey. They have a very nice evening beach barbeque buffet.

“Overall, a good stay.”

Although I had some problems with my reservation upon checking in, I enjoyed my stay overall. The room I had booked was unavailable the first night, but I was moved for the remainder of my stay (although I admit I had to fight to be moved). The staff is very friendly, although you sometimes have the feeling you are simply being appeased. Rooms are beautiful, very comfortable, and clean. The pools were both gorgeous. The restaurants and bars were decent, although you can eat and drink for much cheaper in town. The location was by far the best feature of this hotel. Walking Street is literally right outside, as are many restaurants and bars, and the hotel is within easy distance of many attractions - yet far enough away to be an escape.
