Hotel Convenient to Marblehead, Massachusetts

As we were going to be in Marblehead for a family celebration, the Hampton Inn Boston/Peabody was in a good location, being that it was accessible to all the major roads. There was plenty of parking, and the grounds appeared to be nicely maintained. The gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming, and made sure that I was credited for Hilton Rewards Points. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included the following morning. It was nothing out of the ordinary, but certainly acceptable. My only issue was that our room was situated right across from the elevator, and the bell indicating each floor could be heard constantly making sleep somewhat difficult for me. As there was some kind of school group staying at the hotel, and staying up late, I'm sure the elevator noise was probably more than the usual.

Overall I had a great experience. The room was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was excellent. My only issue was that I had booked a hotel with a pool to keep my kids busy. We had gone down to the pool, the water was absolutely freezing. Aside from that it was ,unfortunately, quite dirty on the bottom of the pool. They jumped in which disturbed the gunk at the bottom of the shallow end and started floating around. Aside from the gunk, there was also quite a bit of the pebbles from the floor on the outside of the pool that were now on the floor of the inside of the pool. Not fun to step on. The kids just got right out and we ended up just watching TV in the room.

Everything was great- next time I will ask for a room in the back- I'm a country girl not used to the road noise/ traffic from the highway.

The room was cold even with heat set at 72. I booked for a king sized bed, it was queen. the wifi service was terrible.

Hotel staff very nice and helpful hotel was clean quiet only had two things bed had a wood on wood squeaking noise so when u rolled over it would squeak and wake me up and the pool was to cold to take the baby in.

Pros: Quiet and cozy. Low cost. Close to main attractions.
Cons: Wifi & cable. Both services kept cutting out in the room. Breakfast area. Not very clean and well stocked for the large amount of guests that morning.
Our room was comfortable and very clean for our stay. We really enjoyed a nice quiet night away from home. Weather permitting, the hotel staff did a good job at keeping the lobby and surrounding areas clean.

A pleasant stay

Everything was fine. There were 2 things that were real minor issues that I had. Neither of these would impact my family staying here again, as it was fine. (1) There usually is no staff standing at the front desk. They like to stay in the back and when they hear someone, they come out immediately. This is a bit unprofessional. (2) the brunch was great. But many of the items offered ran out quickly and they did not have someone watching the supplies actively. I had to go to the front desk to ask for it to be restocked. When I requested, it was handled immediately.
