Very convenient hotel

Pros: cleanliness. Also location to Denny's restaurant.
Cons: n/a
Location: convenient.
we had made reservations ahead of time and had no idea what to expect. This is a very nice hotel, the rooms very nicely done. We travel to TX every year for Thanksgiving and will stay there again.

Not a place to hang your head for the night!

Pros: clean sheets
Cons: location, staff, room condition
Location: scarry
Do NOT stay at this hotel, especially if female travelling solo! Heading cross country(SF-NY) and using Expedia to book hotels daily depending on mileage for the day. This one rec'd good ratings and not knowing anything about Pecos, TX relied on the reviews before booking. Attempted to call from the road to notify of late arrival; no answer-left msg. Arrived 10:30p.m. couldn't find the hotel; no exterior lighting. Couldn't find the lobby - no lighting or signs. NO ONE AT THE FRONT DESK to register with . After waiting 20 min while I rang the desk bell and called the hotel number as well as frantic calls to Expedia to rebook somewhere else a clerk appeared. This is an oil drillers hotel and the room was across from their lounge - very noisey. Rooms were old and in need of re carpeting/updating. Coffee pot was filthy and there was no coffee! Terrible pillows but the sheets were clean. The sound from the upstairs room was very noisey. Wanted to complain to the mgr the next morning but there was no one at the front desk when I checked out.

never mind

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Last year we had a similar experience in Fort Stockton
Location: Typical run down "oil town"
The building as a whole was dirty and run down. Just a high price for a low quality hotel in a very sorry area

We had to wait 1/2 hour for someone that knew how to check us in. It was in the high 90"s and we had to wait until she came. This hotel caters to the railroad and gas workers. The free breakfast was at the Denneys next door. It was very dirty and the simple breakfast was not very good. We will not come back. The money charged was too high for this hotel. It shold be priced like a Motel 6 or Super 8.

Good Bargain

Convenient location, rooms were clean though some of the fixtures in the bathroom were in need of repair/replacement. Free breakfast next door was good though the service was slow. Security door to the hallway didn't lock on one side of the hotel.

Convenient basic hotel

Breakfast is a voucher for Grand Slam at Dennys next door, good but the Dennys was crowded and inefficient (there's an oil boom on). Basic hotel, wifi worked, good room.
