“Beautiful location!”

This hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the Hudson. My room was very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The only negative was the antiquated plumbing in the shower. The nobs were old, and difficult to adjust, the water dripped after my shower. My experience was way more positive than negative, and I would recommend the hotel even with the outdated plumbing.

“Good value for the money and great view”

Only drawback with this location is the regular train alarm. The train will blow its horn three times in succession as it pass through the level crossing. It definitely beats the wakeup call from the reception.

“Convenient location for visit to Peekskill, NY”

The Inn on the Hudson has new owners and they have made many improvements with more underway. Our room was clean and we enjoyed the extra pillows and complimentary breakfast. The staff was polite and helpful.

Paramount Theater in Peekskill, NY sponsored a wonderful Ronan Tynan concert to honor the 9/11 victims and families.

“Nice View Friendly People”

Stayed one nite here on our way up to view the Valley. Would recommend this place for short stop. Prices was good, complementary breakfast was great, and the rooms were comfy. Not the Radisson, but if you want a great view of the Hudson, this is it. Loved the romantic patio restaurant with guitar player, but the food could have been better. Would stay again if passing thru the area.

Area recommendations

Take the drive up to Bear Mountain Bridge, and stop at the park. There are many lookout stops along the way. Beautiful.

“Good deal for the price”

For what we paid, a good deal, especially compared to other hotels in the area. Minor issues with the room - for instance, the bathroom door swelled and had to be slammed shut as well as some apparent water damage to ceiling tiles in the bathroom. Convenient location within a 15 walk from Peekskill station (5 minuted by car). Beautiful view of the Hudson River. Not a bad commute to West Point. Overall, it met out criteria of safe, clean and cheap.

Area recommendations

We stayed here while visiting a good friend at West Point. We didn't explore the area much.

Getting there

Take the Metro-North Railroad from Grand Central to Peekskill was convenient, relatively inexpensive and pretty fast (around an hour). Luckily, we had a car to get from Peekskill to West Point but if we didn't, it would have also been easy to take the train further north to Garrison then ferry across the river or pay a small fare for a taxi.

“Yuuuuuuck!!!!”

This hotel was filthy and depressing. We slept in our clothes and I took a shower in the morning with my flip-flops on The cigarette smell almost knocked us over upon entering. The furniture looked like it had been picked up from the garbage of Salvation Army. The toilet and sink had cigarette burns all over them. When we first arrived we were given a room key ( at 2 a.m.) we walked into a room where someone was sleeping. Too bad the location was good as we were going to West Point to drop off my son and it is close by. The view from the pool was beautiful with the Hudson and Mountains in the background. We cancelled the rest of our nights and moved to Holiday Inn Express even though their rates were much higher.

“nice hotle for the money”

I was pleased with my stay, except an unknown person came thru the parking lot at night and hit my car and 2 others and then took off. The hotel called the police and had a police report waiting for me in the morning when i checked out.

“will use again because of location to work”
