Good but not fantastic if you are on honeymoonPosted Jun 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very relaxing. The waiters, porters and spa staff were excellent. The on site dive centre was also very good. It was our honeymoon and the hotel did nothing for us, no fruit, wine even though on our booking we had stated we were on honeymoon and they had even asked us when we checked in. We felt let down by the manager/supervisor for this as he had decided that we could not have anything for our honeymoon as it was too late on our final night there. A free drink or dinner could have easily have been offered but they declined this request when asked.

A slice of paradise lapped by tropical seasPosted Apr 30, 2012
Pros: The spectacular views and an absence of crowds and noise
Cons: Sadly the beaches are not cleaned and edged by a variety of plastic detritus that has been washed ashore
Location: Simply stunning
After a week in the suburbs of Kuta we decided to find a place far away for the rest of our stay in Bali. This resort looked attractive in a number of the guide books and web sites we looked at and the price was right. We found friendly staff and lush manicured gardens with fabulous view to the mountains and sea. Our accommodation featured carved wooden and painted panels, a huge comfortable bed, and a private courtyard enclosing our bathroom under the open sky. The resort provided a diving shop that provided trips to a number of impressive sites, as well as a spa in which we luxuriated with a range of massages. The onsite restaurant and bar had a diverse range of good food - we even tried the local speciality of Balinese duck, served at a table on the beach. The staff were always happy and helpful - relaxed and efficient in their 'house uniform'. Our three days ended too soon and the question now is when can we return!

Good place for diving/snorkelingPosted Apr 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
Relaxing stay in remote location. Expensive bar. Nice to sit near water for meals. Good service, beautiful grounds.

Most relaxing holiday everPosted Jan 25, 2012
Pros: the rooms, the garden and the snorkelling were hightlights
Cons: The cost of the wifi was far too high
Location: secluded quiet beach in north west Bali
After 10 days in Seminyak the respite of 6 days at Taman Sari was wonderful. We had the most relaxing time. The gardens and rooms were beautiful. The service was friendly. The new trainees were delightful. We felt the hotel had a strong commitment to service. Our airconditioner stopped working and within 5 minutes staff had come to fix this problem. When staff made up our room they placed frangipani artfully on the bed. We spent the time snorkelling and reading.

50/50Posted May 26, 2011
This hotel had beautiful grounds, that were well taken care of with a lot of different room choices. Our room was a standard, nothing special, the outside looks a lot nicer than the inside. The room was always cleaned, but the sheet over the bed had gecko turds on it, and was probably never washed. The roof was partially sealed, but the open areas allowed mosquitos to fly in and out as well as other animals. We actually had a rat that in our outdoor bathroom, which was not clean, and in need of some updating. WIFI is way expensive here, and should be free. The good things about the hotel is the snorkeling off the beach is grerat, the staff is wonderful and friendly. I wouldn't stay here again, but only due to the room and bathrooms standards.

Wonderful hotel and staff!Posted Apr 28, 2011 on Hotels.com
We stayed here as a base for SCUBA diving at the park. The location was excellent- there were several other hotels/restaurants you can easily walk to on the beach (try the Greek restaurant a couple of doors down- it was great!) The hotel grounds are beautiful. We got bumped up to an Ocean view bungalow, which was nice but didn't have much of an ocean view (if you have to pay extra I would stick with a Garden view). The restaurant had good food and they have a great beach side bar. One thing which was kind of odd to us was that they didn't have seating around the pool area- we don't have kids but if we did and they were spending lots of time in the pool this might be a little annoying.
