Hotel with very basic facilities

Posted May 9, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, decor and of course location.
Cons: Wetness in the toilet area. Pigeons making lot of noises on the ceiling.
Location: There are many restaurants and food joints. Try Tek Sen. Roam around the Georgetown area. Take a Rickshaw ride at night.
The hotel does not have any fancy facilities if you are looking for them. The location is an absolute bonus as it sits in the heart of Georgetown. Plenty of choices for food and there are some nice cafes too. You will find just one money changer right across the hotel. The staffs are very helpful and always ready to assist. What I liked most was you were not allowed to wear your shoes if you have a room upstairs, they like it like that and helps them maintain the cleanliness. The toilets are constantly being cleaned which is great, but the downside of that is they are almost wet all day. They have a lot of pigeons living on the roof top just above your room and they make it difficult to catch a good night sleep.

A pleasant experience overall...recommended stay!

Pros: the friendly and helpful staff
Cons: wifi accessible in the room
Location: Line clear Nasi kandar just 5 mins walk away.
Due to our late check-in, we were given a smaller room rather the one we've booked online.however, after speaking to the staff, she was kind enough to inform us that our original room had been given away due to late check-in and informed us that we can get an upgrade the next day after the guests had checked out. we were really happy with the bigger room and vow to come back in the future. Good news for those nasi kandar lover,Line clear is merely just 5 mins walk away. there are even bicycles to be rented out for visitors who like to ride around Georgetown, especially for those who are planning to go around looking for the famous wall arts. Parking space are ample and of course first come first serve basis.

Good hotel with good facilities & location.

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Good location with many places to eat & dine.
Cons: WiFi connection & water pressure for shower.
It was a good hotel to stay. However, WiFi connection was slow & there were blind spots in some areas in the room. There were construction going on next to the room, hence it was noisy in the daytime. Water pressure is quite low, perhaps need to pump up.

Good Location with POOR Wifi connection

Posted Apr 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Other then the poor wifi in the room (level 1 corner room), there is nothing much to feedback about pertaining to the hotel. We have min contact with the staff as most of the time we are roaming outside the hotel and only back during the night.

Budget Hotel in the Heart of Georgetown

Posted Apr 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
The property is more of a budget hotel with both Shared bath and private bath rooms, in a beautifully maintained old building. The environment is clean and quaint. Easy walk to free loop bus around downtown. Easy access to bus, ferry, historic sites, and good street foods (Indian, Chinese, and Malay). Perfect for the price on a short stay. The hotel offers complimentary bicycle use for 3 hours (over 3 hours and the 50 ringit deposit is forfeited), which is perfect for a quick ride around or even to a beach. Very quiet location, but there is renovation going on, but it doesn't get noisy until after 10 AM. Free wifi in the open air lobby, and Asian style "wet" bath, so if you're not used to or familiar with the wet room concept you may not like the bathroom, but no problem for this New York Expat. Would stay again!

Nice budget hotel

Posted Mar 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very good budget hotel, Hotel is simple, with good and very friendly service. Second floor is for shared bathrooms - beware. Shower is right next the toilet - so everything gets wet. But this is the budget far east. Surrounding neighborhood is dinky - but this is Georgetown. Will I stay there again? Probably, if I want to be on budget.
