“Great Hotel”

The hotel was in a great location for looking around Georgetown. The shuttle out to the Golden sands resort, and the use of the resort there was fantastic. Just make sure that you book the shuttle a day ahead. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

“A big plus for Traders”

I found everything about my stay there to be more than exceptional. I enjoyed relaxing and swimming in the pool area every day. I noticed the well equipped fitness centre - bit left that up to those more energetic. Location great for walks into the close-by heritage area and inner Georgetown. I felt perfectly safe going out for walks. Near by is the convenience of the bus hub at Komtar and also a couple of big shopping malls that included a large supermarket and more "westernised" coffee shops. I found my room perfectly comfortable. It was kept clean and tidy by the staff. I had nothing but positive helpful assistance and responses from any staff at the hotel whether they were in the restaurant or lounge; at reception, concierge or the tour desk; at the swimming pool/fitness area. They did not pester me but were always quick to assist or respond if I requested anything. There is building going on opposite but at no time did I hear that and found the view across the old "urban sprawl" towards the hills was interesting enough for me from behind a large 11th floor picture window. I had chose the normal room and found everything to my satisfaction. I did take the opportunity to take the free shuttle bus service to the Golden Sands Shangri-La for the day. That was comfortable but felt more at home in Georgetown. The beach holiday may have been more suitable for pool to room to restaurant with a tour or 2 thrown. I like the independence of being able to stroll around Georgetown.

“Penang Malyasian stay”

My wife and I stayed at the Traders Hotel for a complete week. Our room was very clean and always maintained. It appeared that the same staff worked our floor for our entire stay which was very helpul to know them on site for additional services as needed. The only problem with the room was a slow draining restroom sink which was addressed when asked however it bagan to drain slowly again. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They helped us get a personal driver for outings and suggested the best things to see and when. Very Happy, and will definately stay at Traders again

“great experience”

We had the club room and service. The hotel operated cocktail and snack service at the traders lounge everyday at 6pm and this was completely complimentary. The room was a good size with a king size bed. Everything was in good working order and clean and room service was prompt and polite.

If you want a Central Penang Hotel to discover the town, stay here !! Everything is nearby. Shopping and local food stalls are sensational.

Good location, next door to many restaurants and a huge Mall. Beach is a short drive or a long walk (good if you can handle it; 20 minutes) away. I stayed at the club level and th room and service were exceptional.

Cannot fault this hotel in any way, great staff, service and location. If we ever went back to Penang, would not stay anywhere else.

Well satisfied with the facilities and the service from the staff. When going out site seeing the staff had the name of cab Co. & driver before we left. Approximately what time we would be back. When we returned they were anxious to learn of our adventure and suggested other area's for site seeing. Very knowledgeable of the area's history.
