“Very impressed”
Very good hotel with a lovely outdoor swimming pool
“Best Central Penang Hotel”
If you want a Central Penang Hotel to discover the town, stay here !! Everything is nearby. Shopping and local food stalls are sensational.
“Not worth it.”
This place is not worth it. The service is poor. We showed up with 12 bags and there was nobody available to help us. The people at the front desk are not eager to help. The place is outdated. The only reason I can see staying here is if you are on business and you have business in the area. This is not a good location for tourists. If you are a tourist stay closer to the downtown Georgetown area or closer to the beach.
“Good location”
Good location for Shopping Centres, Bus Services, Heritage Trail. Not the most luxurious of hotels but very very adequate and a good helpful standard of service. The room was large well equipped and very comfortable. However this is not a beach hotel, but as a city hotel very good for all the above reasons.

“Penang Malyasian stay”
My wife and I stayed at the Traders Hotel for a complete week. Our room was very clean and always maintained. It appeared that the same staff worked our floor for our entire stay which was very helpul to know them on site for additional services as needed. The only problem with the room was a slow draining restroom sink which was addressed when asked however it bagan to drain slowly again. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They helped us get a personal driver for outings and suggested the best things to see and when. Very Happy, and will definately stay at Traders again
“Good hotel lacks vibe”
A respectable hotel though has a bit of a stiff atmosphere. Seems more suited to business guests. The surrounding area though is not that attractive
“nice hotel”
My husband and I stayed at Traders Penang for 5 nights. We are happy with this hotel. Our room was quiet and comfortable. On top of it, this hotel offers free internet connection and free shuttle to Gold Sand resort. There is a night market outside of the Gold Sand. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.
