“Line of Duty Death funeral detail”

Only had time to sleep for 3 hours. Was doing a Line of Duty Death Funeral detail following morning with muster at 0500 hrs. Bar closed at 2100 hrs. We arrived at 2030 hrs, checked in, got to the bar in time to grab a bite and one drink. However, bartender did "relax" the rules till 2130 hrs. Convenient to drop into town from that location to detail venue at auditorium. Would stay there again.

“Not much to do there... but nice & very clean hotel. Good place to stop if traveling”

It's a very nice hotel if you are just passing through and looking for somewhere to stay a night. The pool was refreshing on a very hot day. It has a nice view of the surrounding area. We enjoyed their breakfast buffet... price was right. Our room was very nice, quiet, clean, and comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again

“Restful and Fun!”

My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. The desk receptionist was congenial and efficient, even though the guests right before us were somewhat rude and impatient with her (even though my wife and I thought the receptionist worked very efficiently and politely with them). We were processed quickly and were given clear directions for everything, including the location of the room, parking, the in house restaurant, pool, and breakfast options. The room was very clean and fresh. The bed and pillows were very compfortable, with different softness of pillows to choose from. The morning receptionist was very polite and cheery and process our receipt quickly. The breakfast was extra ($4.50), but had excellent food. The dining room was spaceous and had a gorgeous view of the Blue Mountains. It was a very enjoyable breakfast experience with very polite attendents. The outdoor pool was very nice. We were just passing through, but my wife and I agreed that we could enjoy just staying at this hotel for a couple days for rest and relaxation. I would go there again for sure!

Area recommendations
Pendleton is a very interesting place to visit. It is an authentic western town that has retained its cowboy and indian heritage. The business district has many buildings that are on the national historical registry that date from the late 1800's. It's the home of Pendleton Woolen Mills (a tour is available) and several western gear manufacturers - hats, boots, saddles. It also has some beautifully maintained/restored homes and churches from it's early days. Its historic relationship with the Oregon Trail makes this place especially interesting to me. It also hosts the famous Pendleton Roundup. The beautiful Umatilla river runs down through he middle of town with a paved walk and bike trail from one end of town to the other. Down town has some nice restaurants, one being beautifully designed log steakhouse, as well as several eateries that have indoor and outdoor seating. Everyone we met was polite and many greeted us as did the walking tour around town. My wife an I really enjoyed our visit.

“An issue with breakfast - the price.”

An assortment of breakfast fare was provided, but there was a nominal charge for this service. At other establishments of similar quality & price continental breakfast is complementary to the guests.

“Not bad!!”

Right off the freeway. Not close to anything else, but Pendleton is relatively small.Breakfast buffet a little weak.

Hamley's restaurant. Good food and service. Probably the best in Eastern Oregon.

We got a great room at a great price!! Very nice rooms, and gorgeous view!! Staff was very friendly. Only complaint was the breakfast buffet....food was cold, coffee and juices were clear across the room...just not very convenient...but price was right!!

“Will stay here again”

We had a nice room on the upper floor with about the best view in the house. The room was large and clean. Overall impression was good.

Area recommendations
The downtown area is really interesting. Of course being near a Casino helps to make sure you have plenty to do until the wee hours of the morning.
