“This place should be shut down!”
Where to begin...there was a marijuana roach on the outside window sill of our room when we arrived. I took it to the lady at the front desk and she looked at me as if it were hers and didn't say a word...not even I'm sorry. Once we began to settle in to the room, I found the tag from the previous guest's pants on the floor of the bathroom. Then I noticed that housekeeping had taken the time to fold the toilet paper end into a triangle-on an empty roll!! We had to be up very early in the morning and were very tired, so we decided just to stay. My husband reached under the bed at one point to pick up a toy our son dropped and found a gatorade bottle that had been under there so long it had gotten moldy on the inside. He took that down to the desk and again, nothing was said or done. Upon further inspection of the room, it obviously hadn't been cleaned in months. We didn't even shower or use the nasty coffee maker. What a nightmare! If this hotel had been inexpensive I might have expected this, but for what we paid a night you should at least have a clean, drug free room. Worst travel experience ever!
“great”
no non-smoking room available so they upgraded to a suite
“Convenience/Price”
The hotel was a little "tired". It was clean, but probably could use a little sprucing up. However, I booked here as a convenience to the airport and price. Arrived at 10:00pm left the next morning at 4:30am. The Continental Breakfast was available at that time although it was not scheduled to open until 6:00am. Saved me time and $$. Personnel were courteous and helpful. My recommendation is based on reasons that I stated above. My wife would probably be a little more critical.
“very disappointed”
Never stayed in a La Quinta before and I was very disapponited. Our linens where clean, but the coverlet was dirty and stained. Our restroom was very tiny and our ventilation system in there was broken. The pool area was dirty, we stayed for four nights and trash was not picked up once while we stayed there. The staff was very friendly and the hotel provided security through the night for our vehicles which I really appreciated. This was our first time to Florida and we did enjoy our time at the beach, visiting museums, and shopping. Flounder's restaurant was amazing- greatest food ever. We will for sure be back to Florida next year, but will probably try a different hotel.
“nice”
staff was great. room was clean and comfortable.
“If you have a pet-SCARY”
We took our dog for a walk on the property and a 'man' living in a gazebo on the next property approached us. In his yard there are all kinds of weird signs saying...'dog "trial" (meaning trail)down the road trying to keep people off his property. He came over to us with his dog and said some very inappropriate things about the dogs and stated NOT to come on his property and walked off. The next day we were walking our dog again, and he followed us on the hotel property. Clearly, the man has mental problems but none the less...SCARY. I reported him to staff and they stated they had had problems. But it reminded me of the Burt Reynolds movie with the mountain men.
“Great Vacation”
Our trip was wonderful! We celebrated my daughter's UWF graduation. The hotel was very accommodating, quiet, and clean. There were so many things to see and do - all enjoyed the chance to be together as a family.
“OK”
The only issue I had was the room had a musty odor. They did come back the next day and it was better, but not gone.
“Won't be going back or staying at any LaQuinta Inn anywhere!”
No refrigerator, no microwave, and ice machines in convenient unsafe locations. The continental breakfast was the worse I'ver ever seen. All the food is stuck in a corner and everyone tries to maneuver themselve around to get coffee, juice, yogurt, or a packaged muffin. Oh yeah, they did have some green bananas. The rooms were relatively clean and the staff was pleasant it is apparent that this hotel is understaffed. We left one morning and returned after 4pm and our room had not been cleaned and the next day they didn't show up all.
“Needs update”
I've stayed at many LaQuinta's. This one needs a makeover.
