“Best Peoria Hotel”

Located about 3/4 of mile from Peoria civic center and just across the bridge from peoria waterfront (Joe's Crabshack, (Old Chicago has recently departed) and a couple of good bars) All of these are within walking distance if the weather is reasonable. Additionally there is a Granite City about 2 blocks away and a Panera Bread about 1/2 mile the other direction. Hotel is very nice - large open atrium in middle. Not sure the river view is really worth the extra $ - the view is from the bedroom.... On the downside they have about the slowest check-in ....

Area recommendations

Take a drive along Grand view avenue - some pretty neat homes up on a bluff with killer view of Peoria river

“Possible Bradley Visits”

Condition, service and cleanliness is great. Exceptional breakfast (recommend the omlete guys). The staff is friendly and very accomodating. Parking lot is small and the extended parking areas are quite a walk to the hotel.

“Excellent hotel!”

We were sent by our employers for training in Pekin, IL from Japan. The front desk staff were very polite when we had a late check-in like about 1am. We were so tired from travelling and with having a bad day due to flight delays caused by thunderstorms at the airport but inspite of those, the front desk staff gave us a very smooth and fast check-in to our rooms.

“Embassy Suites in East Peoria”

Beautiful hotel; Welcoming foyer & lobby area; Would have been nice to have automatic doors at front entrance since we had a lot of luggage (there was a handicapped door button but that's not always easy to push when your hands are full of luggage and kids). The staff was friendly and helpful and professional. Our room overlooked the river so that was nice. Ask for a room on a high floor for better river views and less of an industrial-area view. Breakfast was good and the made-to-order pancakes/waffles/omelettes were a treat. The swimming pool area had a lot of used towels laying around on the chairs and there didn't appear to be any hotel staff checking on the pool area. The second day, the hot tub was cold for some reason. Over all, we had an enjoyable experience at the hotel. The front desk staff was extremely friendly any time we approached them, and our cleaning lady was also nice and helpful. The people working the breakfast buffet were also very attentive and friendly. I believe it's the employees who make the biggest impression on guests and the staff at this hotel certainly seemed to be happy and proud to be working there.
