Fantastic Hotel with great staff

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Professional, friendly, welcoming staff. Rooms spotlessly clean. Travel services, foreign exchange, laundry and free wi-fi all available in-house.
Location: Pereybere has great public beach - and some water activities. But bustle of Grand Bay is only 15 mins away by bus.
One of the best locations in Pereybere, across the road from the beach with excellent choice of local restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout our 2 week stay - the 24 hour manning of the front desk is a big help for night owls. Nearby restaurants provide excellent mostly seafood and are good value. Great nightlife is available just a 10 minute taxi ride away in Grand Bay and taxis are easily available for the return journey even in the early hours. We used the hotel's travel centre to organise a spectacular Catamaran trip to Ile Aux Cerfs (a most-do on any visit to Mauritius) but also used local public buses to visit the capital, botanic gardens, rum museum...(tip change from local bus to express service at nearby Grand Bay - really shortens the journey to Port Louis). The Hotel foreign exchange also had one of the best rates we came across. Loved this small and welcoming hotel - and already planning our return trip. Our balcony faced the street which do not cause us any problems but anyone who is noise sensitive should consider the alternative and opt for poolside or pool view balcony...

Handy for public transport and the beach

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Handy to stay at if visiting the northern part of the island
Cons: Make he bathrooms/toilets smell fresh
Location: Public beach Shopping in Grand Baie
The bathrooms did not have any exhaust fan or fresh air circulation therefore leaving it with a musty smell. There was also mould on some of the walls. The cafe that is situated next door where they recommend breakfast is expensive for what is on offer.

Nice hotel, close to the beach, key location.

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: The main attraction is the kind hearted Maurician staff and their willingness to please the guests. The beach is just in front that is another plus.
Cons: Clear some tree branches in the frontal public garden so that the beach can be seen from the hotel balconies.
Location: The beach, supermarket, bus & taxis stops, pharmacy, club & the restaurants. Close to Cap malheureux, Grand Baie & Pamplemoose bot gardens.
The hotel stuff is more than welcoming and accomodating, they go beyond the call of duty to make our stays memorable.

Fabulous beach front hotel!

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: Amazingly comfortable and cozy rooms. Very comfortable beds. Highly professional staff and great location.
Cons: A few more tv channels would be appreciated. There are only a few tv channels, most of which are news channels.
Location: There are several good restaurants in Pereybere, so there are plenty of good food options nearby. The bus stop is 1 minute from the hotel.
My wife and I stayed at Pereybere Hotel on our honeymoon. This is one of the best hotels I stayed at in my 12 years of travelling the world. The rooms are cozy, spatious and very comfortable and include a flat screen tv, A/C, balcony, mini-fridge, telephone, and work table. The king-size beds are incredibly comfortable. The staff is extremely helpful and professional, and the in-house agency organized day trips for us very efficiently. A very satisfying breakfast is served at the hotel restaurant. Most of the other guests were also couples on a honeymoon, so we got to mingle with other honeymooners which was nice. Overall, we had a fabulous stay at Pereybere Hotel.

The Nicest Staff Ever

Posted Jan 8, 2014
Pros: The staff was great and the room was spacious and pleasant with a nice little terrace.
Cons: The bed was not the most comfortable and the sheets were old (some stains) - they could have been better.
Location: The public beach wasnt very nice and way too crowded. Make sure to use the public bus to go into Grand Baie - the taxis will empty your pockets!
This was a great hotel but the best part of the experience was the kindness of the staff. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and that we had a good experience. One morning the breakfast wasn't so good. The next day we went to the café next door instead. One of the staff noticed and asked why we didn't eat at their restaurant. I explained honestly what happened and what I didn't like. Later on that day, one of the staff members said that everything had been taken care of and would I please eat breakfast with them again. I did and everything was FANTASTIC! And it stayed that way for the rest of our time there. Besides that I was really impressed.
