hotel in city centre as required

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: easy to come and go as you pleased
Cons: more interest in getting it right .
Location: very good location for city centre activities
the receptionist who checked me in did her job but could have been more warm and welcoming ! the television was very limited both by channels available and due to the picture quality wake up call did not come through , fortunately I was already awake.

Christmas getaway

Excellent hotel. Wiring in room wasn't the best - main light was not operated by a wall switch so there was a big shortage of available sockets. Otherwise hotel was perfect and the staff were excellent.

Not the usual Mercure standard

Posted Dec 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
Looks lovely from outside but poor outdated design and poor upkeep. The shower sounded like a space ship taking off and dribbled like a fine mist on the hills of Scotland. Overpriced. We didn't have breakfast.

Central Hotel in Perth

Booked the hotel as a stopover to break my journey on route to Edinburgh. £75 with no breakfast, which would have been additional. The room was comfortable enough. Plenty of places to eat nearby.

Mecure Perth Hotel

Posted Oct 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed at this Hotel during a holiday in 1975 and it was the best one we stayed at. However, this was the worst of the three we stayed at this time, but it did provide the best breakfast. The Hotel felt a little run down and in need of an upgrade. It appears to cater for working people, rather than holiday cliental. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Mercure hotel in Perth Scotland can be recommended

Posted Oct 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
Reception was poorly prepared and had difficulty identifying our party's rooms and allocation. The room was clean and comfortable but bath plug missing. The breakfast buffet was very good and Service friendly and efficient in an attractive room. A pleasant bar with atmosphere but opens directly on to car park which causes draughts and can be cold in winter. This Hotel has improved in recent years and offers good value.

City centre convenience

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: Position
Cons: Air conditioning and shower systems,
Convenient city centre with quaint mill atmosphere - water running through the stream under reception area - nice. Hotel very hot - they forgot to tell us there were fans available on request so we roasted. No lift which was not a particular problem for us but would be for older people or for those with heavier luggage. Quite friendly and helpful staff at reception. Shower, as at Inverness, potentially dangerous as you have to control the tap avoiding very hot water ( a very poor control system).
