hotel in city centre as requiredPosted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: easy to come and go as you pleased
Cons: more interest in getting it right .
Location: very good location for city centre activities
the receptionist who checked me in did her job but could have been more warm and welcoming ! the television was very limited both by channels available and due to the picture quality wake up call did not come through , fortunately I was already awake.

Central Hotel in PerthPosted Nov 17, 2014
Booked the hotel as a stopover to break my journey on route to Edinburgh. £75 with no breakfast, which would have been additional. The room was comfortable enough. Plenty of places to eat nearby.

Mecure Perth HotelPosted Oct 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed at this Hotel during a holiday in 1975 and it was the best one we stayed at. However, this was the worst of the three we stayed at this time, but it did provide the best breakfast. The Hotel felt a little run down and in need of an upgrade. It appears to cater for working people, rather than holiday cliental. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Mercure hotel in Perth Scotland can be recommendedPosted Oct 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
Reception was poorly prepared and had difficulty identifying our party's rooms and allocation. The room was clean and comfortable but bath plug missing. The breakfast buffet was very good and Service friendly and efficient in an attractive room. A pleasant bar with atmosphere but opens directly on to car park which causes draughts and can be cold in winter. This Hotel has improved in recent years and offers good value.

City centre conveniencePosted Sep 26, 2014
Cons: Air conditioning and shower systems,
Convenient city centre with quaint mill atmosphere - water running through the stream under reception area - nice. Hotel very hot - they forgot to tell us there were fans available on request so we roasted. No lift which was not a particular problem for us but would be for older people or for those with heavier luggage. Quite friendly and helpful staff at reception. Shower, as at Inverness, potentially dangerous as you have to control the tap avoiding very hot water ( a very poor control system).

Trying to be an authentic Scottish CastlePosted Sep 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
And failing in many areas. All staff were not Scottish and very rude. The room whilst clean was very tired and I had to run my own electrical extension across the room because the socket by the TV didn't work. The bed has to be the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in and I don't appreciate paying these prices to get a bad back.

Tired and wornPosted Sep 6, 2014
Nice location with easy access to the city centre. A reasonable stay but the rooms are tired and in need of updating. This is a prime example of a hotel spending money in the wrong places. A plush check in area where you spend ten minutes of your stay and tired rooms where you spend eight hours of your stay.

Nice hotelPosted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff and clean rooms.
Location: Good base to explore Scone palace, Huntingtower Castle, Elcho Castle.
Nice friendly hotel with great staff. Hotel room was nice and clean and had the bonus of free parking! Hotel is situated just round the corner from the High St, so everything is within walking distance.
