Good central locationPosted Jul 22, 2014
Good central location. Room was nice and big, scrupulously clean however squeaky floorboards from floor above (3rd) were ridiculously loud. Previous comments have suggested top floor best to stay on and I agree. Breakfast was good However dinner plate is one of the smallest I have ever seen! I would book again but only if I could book a top floor room.

Great value for moneyPosted Mar 10, 2014
This is a great hotel for short stays - OK it's not palatial, but at the price there really is little to complain about. The staff are about the friendliest I have ever come across, the room was perfectly adequate, and the breakfast provision was fantastic. Highly recommended for short stays on a budget.

City centre hotel, excellent value for moneyPosted Mar 2, 2014
Stayed one night's bed and breakfast, everything went well. Traditional hotel rather than anything slick and fancy. Central location is very useful and self-parking wasn't an issue. Given the price, I am very happy with my stay.

Good basic accomodation. The single beds are a little small.

good value hotel with characterPosted Jan 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
the hotel is good value, Obviously an old building with extraordinary exterior . Not surprisingly interior is rather rambling but decor reasonable . Single room small but clean ,quiet and comfortable . Breakfast good . Staff pleasant and efficient.

Salutation Hotel Dec 2013Posted Dec 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is extremely central for Perth City Centre and shopping on doorstep. No hotel car park but public multi- storey around 200 yards away. Hotel was busy at checkin and a long queue for the lift so walked up two flights of stairs with luggage. Room adequate but a bit tired decoration- wise and had tea maker etc and flat screen TV. Bathroom and shower quite good. Breakfast was very good and staff appeared friendly throughout. Bar was comfortable and nicely furnished. Would not stay a week there but acceptable for a night or weekend at the price booked which was for a basic standard room. I would return and rate at 3.0/3.5 out of 5.

Is anyone here?Posted Oct 14, 2011
On arrival, took 20 mins for someone to come and check me in. Went to my room and then down to the bar to get a drink and snack. Again no staff in sight! Gave up and went to bed. Same on check out - nearly made me late for appointment had to wait so long. Hotel tired and not very hospitable. Wont be staying again.
