Literally right across from the train station!Posted Oct 30, 2013
Local food is minimal, plan to eat Indian or Pizza. Room needed dry air ventilation, could not get the damp out of our clothes. Staff was excellent and went out of their way to help. Breakfast is okay... the porrage is amazing.. just eat the porrage. Room was in great condition considering how old the hotel is. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it for other travelers.

Yep, I'd stay there again!Posted Sep 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Walking distance to town. Very good restaurant in the hotel. We had a small room on the top floor, but everything worked and we had no problems.

Location: beside train station but better to stay in perth itself if you dont have a vehile ... parkin didnt feel secure either.
Old hotel and is showing its age.Large place but almost felt deserted.Staff were ok with the exception of the South African guy on breakfasts (he was great) ...rest of them made you feel they were doing you a particular favour just staying there.Food :- hideous.

Don't stay here!Posted Aug 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is old, and from all accounts it looked old. Worn carpet, chipping paint, worn furniture, stained walls and ceilings, the interior was terrible and the kitchen, food and restaurant were even worse. The soup was not hot, the salad was nothing more than what I could throw together at home in less than 2 minutes, the main courses were not appetizing at all, however the beer was cold. Overall, this hotel was a huge disappointment based on what we read in Hotels.com.

not for the faint heartedPosted Jun 7, 2013
Pros: relative closeness to where I needed to be
Cons: lack of telephone contact with anyone either inside or outside the hotel
This hotel requires to do a bit more than putting fancy pillows on the beds,to merit being called a "Boutique "Hotel. There are no telephone in the rooms, - at least not in the room I was in (82) I ordered from reception a Bar Meal and was asked to go to the bar myself to order it as the staff there, would need to physically go to the bar to order. Obviously no telephone contact between Reception and Bar. All in all, despite work taking place whilst I stayed there, the hotel is still in need of a big programme of redecoration, it is looking " a bit tired"
