Value for money

Required some walking from Perth station if you are on public transport. Location not bad as you can find asian food restaurants around the corners (less than 5 minutes walking distance). The complimentary continental breakfast is not bad (cereals, yogurt, fruits and breads) and it is definitely better if you top up AUD11 per person for the hot foods (such as bacon, sausages and etc).

A room without a view.

Pros: Handy for walking downtown to CBD. Parking is very goood value.
Cons: Include Internet in price.
Location: Lots of ethnic restaurants with very reasonable prices. Not so good if you want to eat Australian though.
This is just a short walk from Perth's CBD and maybe 10 mins from the harbor. It's the typical Ibis Styles, large room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Unfortunately most, if not all the rooms, do not have a "real" window. Yes there is a window but it does not see the outside world. Rooms in this hotel never see daylight. For me this was a horrible experience. I have never stayed in a room like this before. Also Internet is expensive although you do get 30 mins free in the lobby.

Our standard rooms have the skylight window and have proved popular with some guests however our Superior rooms do have an external window if this is a preference. Great for China Town .!

The hotel is just around the corner from a great selection of chineese chop houses ! Free CAT bus stop is a brisk 5 minute walk. Plenty of nightlife in Northbridge.

Disappointing

I feel that firstly the address of the hotel is misleading, the hotel is in Perth although it is in North Bridge and not the centre of town as the advert would suggest. Regarding the room - there was an artificial window in the room with a picture of a beach scene behind the frame, which was very bizarre. There was no ventilation in the room so we had to keep the air con on all night which was very noisy, the cleaners started work very early and was hoovering from 8 am to 5 pm. It was not a very pleasant stay and would not recommend this hotel due to its poor standards and location.

Cosy and well located hotel.

Pros: Hotel is located in a great part of Perth. Staff do all the small things well that make me want to come back. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet.
Cons: Internet access for guests is prohibitively expensive. A small gym facility and laundry for guests would be a welcome addition. Cheaper parking.
Location: Great restaurants in Williams and James Streets.
We stayed at ibis Styles for 4 nights. Superbly located close to great restaurants and bars. Staff are very courteous and friendly. Check-in was very straight forward. Rooms very clean, comfortable and quiet. They do the small things well like towels and bathroom products for everyone staying in the room (there were 3 of us); generous in room coffee and tea; allowed me to keep the car in the carpark after I had checked out. Their daily rate is very good value for a hotel of this class. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 4 hours, glad not longer.

Pros: nothing
Cons: Have a working shower, improve noise reduction in rooms.
We stayed 4 hours, very noisy from other guests at 4am to 8am when we left. Shower did not work. Carpet had large wet patch at the end of the bed. Would never stay again.

Three nights break in the city

Pros: Close to all the restaurants in Northbridge with cheap parking
Cons: Can be a little noisy if in the wing closest to the local nightclub! Better sound proofing.
Location: Catch a free cat bus to most of the Perth attractions, close to a variety of good restaurants in Northbridge
Excellent staff and service, rooms are basic but clean & tidy.
