Not at all impressed with this place. Did not get the room we booked. Condition of property we did get was poor. Bathrooms not to a reasonable standard of cleanliness. Consider this a second rate property and will not be using again. A bit of a dump to be frank.

This was a really depressing and downbeat place to stay. It was a real shambles and in a state of advance neglect and disrepair. Not a good experience.

Dont believe photos, Anticipated a great stay should have gone elsewhere but no refund. Smelt of fresh and stale cigarette smoke all the time,2nd floor reported this and pool dismissive seem not to know, no bath plug, leaking air Con, no fans in bathroom. Beds comfy relatively clean, No power points room The dining chairs were broke ricketty, no bath plug and the air conditioner leaked. Whilst it was clean enough and the beds comfortable there was not power points in the bedroom. We had planned to relax in the apartment and spend time in the pool. Getting to the pool involved walking across the carpark and up three flights of stairs to find it out of order. Knowing Perth was experiencing the hot weather we choose this hotel due to this option and proximity to public transport. When returning to the front desk from the unusable pool and questioning this response was. Oh, the work men must have closed it off it might be open tomorrow. We were checking out tomorrow. Surely the front desk knows what is happening in their hotel. They did not seem to care and were dismissive. Another guest commented that this is a frequent issue with the pool. There were not fans in the bathroom to deal with moisture water. Given the constant smell of smoke there could not have been smoke detector a saftey issue for sure.At checkout I mentioned the smoke and again no response. Gladly none of us had asthma and we managed to run the leaking airconditione that minimised this.

Initially, my partner was not allowed to check in as my flight was delayed. Overall condition of the room and its facilities was terrible. Air con leaked water. Hallways stunk of cigarettes. Paid $20 for parking. Was told where we could park and there was nothing left. Refused a parking refund.

Neither a boutique, nor a hotel, a largish 1980s apartment badly in need of a refresh. - place was exceptionally grimy with horrid carpet and unexplained stains on walls and counter, although the linens were clean. Parking garage inaccessible so parked in street. Probably normally ok for FIFO miners, not really a “family vacation” type place.

-Bathroom had mold throughout the shower and basin -Broken /cracked basin -Basin in the second toilet leaking water. -Water leaking through the tiles on the bottom of the wall behind the door. toilet floor was covered in water this morning 24/12/23 (son slipped over) -Holes in the walls -Stains on the carpets -Remote controls for the air-conditioning and television didn't work. - Clothes left in the dry/washing machine from previous guests. - Beds were extremely uncomfortable - Cockroach on the kitchen bench. -Hot and cold-water taps reversed, luckily our children did not have the first showers. -Mold on the bathroom floor -Cutlery dirty and left in the dishwasher from Previous guests. -Air-conditioning leaking water. Reception was contacted multiple times in regards to the issues - stated the maintenance man would come and review complaints - maintenance man never attended. -Inaccessible car parking We left and returned to find no car parks available. - called reception and were told to park in overflow car pack- unfortunately our car height didn't allow us access. After being told height was 2.4 metres. The photographs of the hotel rooms were definitely not a true representation of the rooms at all. Unfortunately, these were the worst hotel rooms we have ever stayed in.

Not even sure where to begin... The location is suitable, close to the city, restaurants etc. However, it is poorly maintained. From cracked and broken tiles, to holes in the curtains, brocken cupboard doors hanging off the hinges, stove top yuck, oven..don't even go there...toilet and shower off the pool area has been dismantled years ago, and still sits with the rubble pulled off it where it fell...Stairwells are used as toilets, with the heat the vapours from the suspects whom urinate on them raise, making it quite disgusting. Had to request towels as only provided one towel for each of the guests for whole week. And finally got asked three times in the week if I had parked my vehicle in the parking area, attempting to charge me over and over again, after I secured the parking for a week at $120. Appears to be simply a money making machine, with no concept of customer service, and or satisfaction. Add to that, the fact that sleeping in this establishment is pure luxury, with sirens, screaming drunken crews all night long. These thugs urinate on the street, fight, scream, and vandalise whatever they can get their hands on. So, in a word, would I come back? not in a million years, or if it was the last accommodation in Australia!!! I rather sleep on the gutter, it may be cleaner, and safer !!!

What was supposed to be a beautiful, relaxing time for me, my Son and three Grandson's, after their Mother was recently bashed, by her ex-partner and suffered brain damage and has been in hospital on life support for 5 weeks, turned into an absolute nightmare. The 2 Apartments for the 5 of us, you would assume would be next to each other. No,1 Apartment was on level 2, and the other was on level 3. If that wasn't bad enough, the pool was 4 minutes away, up 4 flights of stairs. I am having a knee replacement in 3 weeks, so it wasn't ideal. I have been travelling for 35 years, and this is the first time I have had to walk upstairs to get to the pool. The only thing nice about this place was Matt, the young man who welcomed us when we arrived. I would not recommend anyone to stay here, and we definitely won't be wasting ou moey booking again.

Scam. Email received said checkin closed at 2.30pm which we missed. Scoured the internet for phone numbers for the Appartments and there was only one which rang out each time. We never received anything from Mount Clare. Completely unable to contact them and abandoned the accommodation for the night. When I called during business hours they said there is an after hours number to call on the wall at the apartments. No email, SMS from them with this info, even their answer machine mentions nothing about this. It’s as if they don’t care if you don’t get there! They refused to refund any portion of the fee. Terrible experience and customer service. Recommend to avoid.

Old and rundown but we knew when we booked. In the end we got a place within walking distance from Optus Stadium. Good coffee shop across the road and also mini grocery store. Secured parking. Clean bedding. Bathroom not super clean, some plates and spoons tot cleaned well, balcony fly screen needs fixing.

3 bedroom apartment had 1 shower and it was full of mould. 2 toilets, but had to walk through bedrooms to get to the toilet - very inconvenient when people were sleeping. Dirty walls, floors, bathrooms, 1 aircon in lounge room that didnt work well, no aircon in bedrooms. Beds were terrible, rolled into the middle and could feel the springs, pillows terrible. Iron didnt work. Parking confusing and only 1 bay for 3 bedroom apt with 3 couples. After I rang to check the parking availability and was told there was plenty of parking for everyone. Had to park at the WACA and pull suitcases up the street in the heat. Noisy area with gardeners whippwr snipping and blower vaccing at 7am. Tradies concrete grinding at 7.30am next to MY CAR! and covered my car in crap. Apartments need a major upgrade. Not worth the money by a long shot and other couples were complaining about the same issues. Never again.

We felt for the cleaners who need to do their job here. The cleaners would have difficulty with keeping this place presentable. Its furniture is worn out, dilapidated, old, dirty, more than just tired. The dining chairs are putrid coverings, stained materials, odd furnishings, mismatched from bygone days, and bed heads torn fabrics (plastic leather). Windows uncleaned, bathroom/laundry/en-suite deteriorated, moldy grouts, washing machine leaks water in operation, drain to sewer is exposed resulting in unit smelling of (?) waste. Request on day 2 of 5 for hairdryer not committed to. Insufficient glasses and kitchen / dining equipment, tv is computer screen size less than 30”. No WiFi proper access to unit, no compendium of unit or location information. Pool area neglected and car park repairs & maintenance a hazard for safety to visitors users and workers. Safety security box damaged state & unusable due to damaged status and old condition in need of repair or more likely replacement. Highly neglected. Entrance to unit On level uninviting and door operation on closing was noisy, double slammed and locking mechanism newish addition. En-suite had a bath and no shower facility. Shower shared in laundry. Toilets newish & cabinetry old & in need of replacement. If this apartment is on the mend it needs a total renovation to attract & reap the benefits of high $$$. The advertised photos do not represent the property accurately. Noise factors were high with gates not greased.😟

The apartments are in need of a major Reno. Bedrooms smell of the 80s (carpets need replacing). Good layout and space. Staff were nice, but the reception office hours not normal - requiring self check-in / checkout. We were a fam of 3 kids and when we asked for extra blankets (cause we had to put out daughter on the couch to sleep) they were going to charge us $30..... never had any hotel do that before (like a caravan park). Easy to get to Perth, but heaps of rift raft (druggis, homeless) people around the block - seemed to be a Drama out the window evey couple of hours (yelling, coppers etc).…maybe just a sign of the times !

My stay at mont Clare appartments was terrible. It smelt of cigarette smoke in the building. The sheets on the bed were dirty and I found bobby pins while I was sleeping, so I am assuming that the sheets weren’t cleaned in between clients, they also were smelt like cigarette smoke. The room was generally run down and do not match what was advertised. I wasn’t very happy and wasn’t worth the money at all.

The property was well located. Well priced for our stay. They had agreed to give us a 2 bathroom apartment but this did not eventuate. Created some inconvenience. The girls were unhappy about cleanliness and lack of maintenance. Otherwise the apartment met our needs.
