Excellent location and a solid choice for touristsPosted Nov 5, 2013
Location: Across the street from an excellent Enoteca and around the corner from La Taverna, which was pricey but simply excellent value.
Getting to the hotel was a lot easier than expected. (It was a five minute walk to the mini metro that was connected to the train station.) The hotel was a little more expensive than others (8) on this trip, but the breakfast was very good and the Wi-Fi very reliable (unlike our experiences in many other places. The room had everything we needed and very clean. Hotel staff were always very helpful.

Hotel Fortuna good choice for Perugia, ItalyPosted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: Liked most was it had a fantastic breakfast. Also the hotel is centrally located to great shops and restaurants. Easy walking to everything.
Location: Again great shops, choices of restaurants and bars. The Chocolate Festival was being held in Perugia and the hotel was just a few doors down.
We had a very good experience. The hotel was clean, well staffed minibar, bathrooms, etc. All the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Charming Unique Location in old PerugiaPosted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: Location, Charm, Friendly
Cons: Aircon in heatwave.
Location: Museums, churches, etc. all within 1 km walk or less.
Although difficult to access by auto, Fortuna is in a marvelous, intimate setting in the middle of old Perugia. Drop off your luggage, then go to car park and take escalators through the underground of Perugia back to hotel- the excalators themselves being quite a wonderful experience. A bit tight for auto in the wandering exit from hotel For an extra fee, they will do the parking for you. Charming rabbit warren of rooms (with elevator) in a very old set of buildings. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. We visited this hotel during a heatwave (35 Celcius). Aircon is probably the best they can do in such an ancient structure. Old Perugia is so immediately available, that it is worth the few issues. If you like modern, go somewhere else.

Excellent Location and ViewPosted Jun 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel Fortuna is located just off the main square in Perugia, restaurants, sites, and breathtaking views of the countryside are just steps away. The staff was attentive and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the terrace view is well worth it. A perfect place to stay for one night or a week!

Good location in old cityPosted Jun 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Perugia. The location was great and the hotel was nice. The one issue we had was regarding parking--it was very hard to find the hotel and to navigate the car to drop off our luggage. Directions to the parking areas was vague. Once we found our way around the city, we did better.

well placed to see the center of perugiaPosted May 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff is very accomodating. Breakfast only adequate. Our room had no long mirror, hooks, luggage rack, or enough hangers and was cold. More hangars and a luggage rack were provided when we asked. The heating had been turned off because it was May and when we asked, a staff member did turn it on, or so we thought. However, she forgot to press the on button. We left a day early because of the cold room. We had a car and even though the hotel brought the car to the door, trying to drive through the narrow streets was a nightmare. Don't bring a car.

Excellent locationPosted May 24, 2013
Pros: The location was terrific
Cons: Beds could be upgraded
Location: It was an easy walk to the main sights in the town and there were several good restaurants and shops nearby.
Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was fine and the room was comfortable. We booked an executive room and had a sitting area and balcony with a wonderful view. We felt it was a good value.
