Mediocre at best

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: Proximity and easy to get to things- if you are willing to walk a bit.
Cons: Room decor for sure. And replacing the table cloth like hand towels.
Location: Easy to get to from Perugia Train Station and easy to get to center of Historic Perugia via series of escalators.
The room decor was very dated. Brown eco friendly toilet paper. Table cloth like hand towels. The beds were dipped in the middle and very hard mattress. Wood floors in the hallway looked nice, but very loud as people walked by. The breakfast was dismal. empty room, but the staff did not let us sit where we wanted to. Juice was watered down, croissants were stale... Lunch meats looked like they sat out for a few hours and the "hot tea" was cold.

Perfect centre for Perugia

Posted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Location, staff and general welcome.
Cons: COFFEE. It would also be good to have tea/coffee in the rooms
Location: Lots to see and do. easy transport to Assisi, Foligno, and many other beautiful places. Perugia itself is great but you need to be pretty fit.
Sangallo Palace was the perfect centre from which to explore Perugia. The staff were very helpful with regard to travel and tour arrangements. Hotel is at the bottom of one of the escalators in the town. Good little swimming pool in which to relax after a busy day. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and were very pleased with both the food and the service. Coffee at breakfast was pretty disastrous!! In a country famed for its' coffee it was very disappointing to find such poor quality.

Nice hotel good location

Posted Nov 3, 2013
Against others recommendations we stayed here for 7 nights. There were 3 of us using 2 rooms with an interconnecting bathroom which was excellent. We had 2 nice balconies which overlooked the bus terminus the churches and the Umbrian hills. It was just a short walk to the centre or a quick ride in the escalators which are situated close to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and professional , we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to experience this beautiful city. My only observation for improvement is the coffee it was terrible.

Beautiful location, lovely hotel

Posted Sep 6, 2013
Pros: The view from the bedroom I was in was particularly good.
Cons: In the bathroom, the small wire shelf hanging in the shower had some rust in it, and the light was a little flickery once or twice.
Location: The location is within a very short walk of the Perugia city centre. There's plenty to eat, do and see there and escalators make the climb easy.
Had a fantastic stay here, the staff could not do enough to help me and my fellow conference-goers out, even though we had very little Italian to help us it was never a problem making ourselves understood.

Boring hotel in good location

Posted Aug 5, 2013
Rather dated interior. Front desk service varied according to who was on duty - some was very good, some was grumpy. Air Conditioning settings had to be modified by the hotel, which was stupid. One of our rooms (we had two) had an intermittent fault with the master lights control which the hotel were very reluctant to fix. No bar (!) except a wee tiny one that you had to ask the front desk to open (we didn't) and that no doubt would have cost a lot and would have had zero ambience. Inclusive breakfast left a lot to desire, at least to a British palate: hard boiled eggs of uncertain vintage and scrambled eggs that were more blue than yellow - effectively a fruit and pastry-based choice. But the location is great - very central and the beds were very comfortable. Don't think we'd stay there again, however, as there are other well-located options.

A great hotel if you rely on public transport

Posted Aug 1, 2013
Pros: bright and clean staff always available
Cons: traffic
Location: central
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful. It was in an ideal situation for us as it was opposite the bus station where you could get the bus to the main station and beside the escalators taking you up to the historic centre. The road may be a little noisy for some people but the transport advantages outweighed this for us as we did not hire a car. The airport bus from Perugia takes you straight to the hotel. It was nice to have the swimming pool even if it is in the basement and not outside.

An Excellent Choice for Perugia

Posted Mar 31, 2013
Pros: Very clean and well positioned.
Cons: Rooms are very nice but can be a bit small, but that is not uncommon for Europe.
Location: Outstanding
I have stayed at this hotel at least 10 times over the past years and it is always predictably clean, efficient and well positioned for both business and pleasure in Perugia. The escalator to the old town center is just 100 meters from the hotel. This hotel is an excellent value.

Needs better signage

Pros: The room itself.
Cons: Finding it and parking.
Location: Decent
Nice hotal, but very hard to actually find a way into it.
