Very nice hotel with very nice people in the service. Room was a bit small for a 5 star but it was really nice. The bathroom was amazing with lots of useful toiletries inside. I would stay again for sure!

Excelsior's Lido and/or 59 are among the best restaurants in Pesaro, and the breakfasts show it, too, from the Norwegian salmon through the prosciutto and cheeses to the honey-on-the-comb, fresh fruits, nuts, and laden table of cakes, tarts, and pastries, juices, waters, and wines. Rooms sleek, well equipped (bar and full toiletries), and comfortable, though changing the water temperature in the shower is challenging if you lack grip strength. One of those clever and inconvenient Italian designs, like a child-proof medicine bottle: push down and turn.

Lovey hotel with 5 star feeling. This is a beautiful hotel, breakfast is wonderful and people are really friendly. I highly recommend it. Maybe room a bit small but this is what I booked and I believe hotel was full for upgrades. I will definitely go back.

Wonderful experience-
THIS is the 5 star standard all hotels should emulate. Everyone is well-trained and personable. The architecture and design is interesting, modern/comfortable, clean and nautical. It was so nice to take a complimentary bicycle and go for a ride. The breakfast is lovely, they have someone playing beautifully on the piano. Normally I prefer to go outside the hotel for lunch but the Lido restaurant was better than some “tablecloth” restaurants. My room was comfortable and the view was beautiful. I’m so happy I experienced this hotel. If you’re trying to decide... you deserve to stay here. I look forward to returning ...

I can’t say enough good things about this new hotel on the beach in Pesaro. Friendly staff, Uber comfy rooms with amazing beds and pillows and a delicious restaurant.

Hidden gem in the eternal City
We spent three very pleasant days in May at the Excelsior, We were warmly welcomed by the son's owner who was very sympathetic. The decor is trendy with a tasteful Italian touch . All the amenities are luxurious and brand new. We particularly enjoyed the supefb breakfast included in the price of the room. The Philippino chef prepared for us succulent omelets and we discovered an array of Italian cheeses and cakes. The clientele was mostly European. We will certainly be back!

This a premium hotel with excellent service and good beach facilities. Breakfast was varied and good quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is walking distance to the town and shops and restaurants. We very much enjoyed our stay and would come again.

The hotel was good, even if someone could argue it is more like a good 4* than a 5*, staff was very kind and helpful. What was less good was this website which upon reservation of the room stated that access to the spa and breakfast were included and after reservation was made only stated room, with no access to the spa nor breakfast. I spend a big deal of time with this website's customer service; they were kind and polite but did not help. Thankfully the hotel staff was understanding and honored the terms I had wanted nevertheless but it has been a time-consuming and slightly irritating experience.

5 Stars on a sliding scale for Pesaro only
I lived in this town for many years and know that this property is one of the newest and definitely the most updated; however, it should only receive 5 stars if it is exclusively being compared to Pesaro hotels! The property is not very old, but the furniture is weathered and the floors in the bathroom could use a good mopping. Likewise, the drains in the showers could use some unclogging and some of the reception staff (female staff specifically) could use some lessons in how to treat people when one works in a service industry. I personally had problems with 3 of the 3 rooms which I stayed in over the course of my stay - the most annoying problem was coming home after dinner and having the key that controls the lights not working on two separate nights, in two separate rooms. I had to even change rooms at 1:30am one night as there was nothing else that could be done as the lights simply would not stay on, even after trying 3 separate keys and having the night receptionist try as well. These problems are not a 5-star hotel worthy, in my opinion. Furthermore, I would suggest that the management review their 'welcome letters' that they give guests. The one I received in English was clearly Google translated and was laughable! There are people in the hotel who speak better English than what was written in the welcome letter, and it looked not only unprofessional but RIDICULOUS-again, not what I expect in a 5* hotel and I have stayed in some of the best hotels in Italy!

The best hotel along the Italian coast!!
We had a fabulous time at your incredible hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. Everything was beautiful, comfortable and perfect. Our room was outstanding-- a HUGE suite over looking the Adriatic. The bathroom is amazing. Double marble shower that is huge!! Just gorgeous. The staff was extremely helpful and we felt very welcome.

In Italy on Business.
I was in the area of Pesaro for business and fortunately it was in the off-season so I was able to stay at the Excelsior for a very reasonable rate. This was as nice as the nicest hotels at which I have stayed in either the US or Europe. The rooms on the ocean front have a wonderfully spacious balcony and full width glass wall/door accessing the balcony. The room was very nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was top notch. The staff was very professional and solicitous. The hotel restaurant was quite nice.

Excellent rooms, friendly staff, although breakfast service was poor, staff slow & forgot coffee order on a couple of accessions. Beware there are hidden costs with this hotel, you need to pay to park car in car park, 20 euros per day. Although you can use free car parking outside, just be assertive & request the free parking otherwise you get led to the garage (we should have done that) New to holidaying in Italy, we weren't aware you had to rent your space on the beach it coast us 56 euros per day at hotel Excelior. This was the most shocking hidden cost & is not pointed out on T&Cs & wasn't included in our room rate ( try & get it included in your room rate) the parking costs are however. Room service charge is 10 euros per person. Otherwise location & beach room views & standard are excellent!

A great hotel right on the beach.
As our second stay at the Excelsior, this seems to be the only really great hotel in Pesaro. This was one stop on two week trip around Tuscany, Umbria, and Le Marche. A few days at the beach at Pesaro is a great way to add something unique to a typical Italy tour, and this hotel is a fantastic place to recharge for a few days. The rooms are really great, and if you get an ocean view, the views are amazing.

The hotel is good: nice location near the sea, private beach, parking garage, large comfortable rooms. But the service is not worse 5 star hotel. On breakfast you can finish to eat, and only after that somebody comes to ask if you would like a coffee. The same for the restaurant, they are slow and not enough careful. On the beach you should go yourself to the bar to ask for drinks and so on, nobody comes to ask. And the beach price is very high, unbelievable high.

The hotel and service was 5* but one thing really shocked me after paying for a Junior suite they made me pay extra €50 a day to use the beach chairs. Have been by numerous beach hotels and never heard of such a thing.

Over achieved!
I can't enough how great the staff was. Front desk, restaurant, cafe, etc. I wish we had stayed more nights! We were there during off season, so we really got to appreciate all the finer parts of the hotel. I would stay there again, no questions asked. AND, it has been some of the best food we've had in Italy!

The room was too small. The hotel has high tech features, but they don't work. We had room 605. You get a blank hotel card for a key and when we inserted it, the lighting didn't work. It was set by a staff person the first night, but After dinner, it didn't work again. The next morning we had to shower and use the facilities in the dark! Neither did the tv work. But what was most concerning was the fact that the stafff did not give us our passports on checkout. Had we not gone back to pay for the minibar - in cash- we would not have noticed our passports were missing. As well, we ordered breakfast a la carte, and my order of eggs with grain bread brought one egg for the same price as my husbands omelette! I had to ask for bread, and I think I should have had 2 eggs!

Nice hotel on beach
Went just off season. Hotel had great view over beach and sea. Parking can be done on the surrounding streets quite easily. Room was was large enough for what was needed. There is a little noise from rooms above due to the wooden floors. Would stay as it us on the beach and easy to drive to sights

Great Boutique Hotel!
Such a surprise to find a modern stylish hotel in Italy! Very new, very clean. Area is nice right by the beach. Breakfast is good. Only negative things are small room size for standard room, and also I hurt my wrist opening the door to the balcony due to weird snapback motion on the latch (probably needs a safety feature as it was super hard to open and then snapped back and I got a huge bruise on my wrist) In any case, overall very positive aside from these two things. Chic and great for vacation!

Fantastic hotel
The Excelsior in Pesaro is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location - sitting right on the edge of the beach with uninterrupted views of the Adriatic. The hotel has a very personal feel and the staff were all very proficient and professional during the stay. Pesaro is a quiet town (certainly in April) and the hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the town centre. It is an excellent hotel for a quiet relaxing break. I would thoroughly recommend it..

We had a great time, going in low season you avoid the crowds you pay less and the service is even better. The SPA is a must, great views of the sea from the jacuzzi and indoor pool. There is no Turkish bath but not a big problem. Staff very friendly and prices are adequate for a 5 star hotel by the beach.
