"Character hotel right next to the train station. "
The hotel staff esp in dining room and reception could not do enough for me . So nice. Room 125 was spacious and light with bath and separate shower. Very hot though. I had both windows open all night and it was still hot. Food was beautifully presented.

We stopped here after visiting the Garden Railway Show at the Arena as we did not fancy the long drive back to the North East. What attracted us when booking was the walking distance location to the city centre and the on-site free parking. Most reviews were good, some were not-so-good but any fears about these were quickly dispelled on arrival. The staff are great, the room was good and the bed comfortable. add to that an extremely reasonable price tag and a good cooked breakfast, what is there not to like? Yes, there is some road-noise (it is in the city centre after all!) but this dies down once Peterborough has gone to bed! OK, one or two things could, as always (and virtually anywhere) be improved but I have to say we'll stop here again.

Very warm welcome from the receptionist. The outside door is kept locked with a bell to ring for access. The staff we met were very pleasant and friendly. Our room was very clean and well cared for.We chose our breakfast from a menu on arrival. It is a continental breakfast ,which was delivered to our room at a time to suit us in the morning. Very pleasant indeed.

Sitting on the banks of the River Nene in the flatlands of East Anglia, Peterborough has been an important settlement since the Bronze Age. The Norman cathedral is one of the finest examples of its type in the country. The town's museum is a good option for kids, stunning Burghley House to the north of the city is a popular excursion, and beer drinkers flock to the annual CAMRA festival in August.
