Great Hotel

Great place to stay. Will stay there once a month for business in Peterborough. Great restaurant attached. Great breakfast buffet. I love the place.

Pros: Average and within a half an hour of where we were meeting with family.
Cons: Better security and enforcement of the rights of all. Beds need to be updated, as they were too firm and not comfortable.

There were many drunken people after a wedding, staying at the motel. We were kept awake by loud screaming until 2:30 am. I called the front desk and advised the person there. He said he would look into it. At 3:00 am someone knocked hard on our room door, and by the time I got there, they were gone. I went to the front desk and reported it, he said he was there by himself and that there were no cameras, and no way of knowing who was causing the problem. We had been up for more than 20 hours, and this was no way to spend a night. The motel should have better control over the guests and should have a way of dealing with this.

When my wife and I arrived the staff was great, they had us checked in, in no time. The first night was good and restful and the breakfast the next morning has to be one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. The only problem we had was the second night, someone with a dog decided to walk it up and down the hall, in the wee hours of the morning letting it bark, which not only disturbed us, but quite a few others too. We talked with the staff and issue was taken care of right away. We will stay there again whenever we are in the Peterborough area. Good job everyone.

The hotel room itself was comfortable and it was great to have dinner at the attached Kelsey's. The desk in the room had a sticky spot left by the previous guest and there was a dead lightbulb in the bedside lamp. There was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke in the 3rd floor (north) hallway past all the non-smoking rooms.

We were awakened by people arguing in the hall close to our room, called the front desk they were aware of it said they were desking with it. A short time later it was quiet.I believe the time was after 11, I was so shaken, and scared you just don't know what to except in these situations. Upon check out the person asked how everything was I told him I wasn't happy about the altercation in the hall, to which he replied, "ya" not even an apology. I was not impressed!! Like have some manners dude. .not a happy guest! !!

We are very reactive when it comes to situations like this and have a procedure for dealing with it. We will try to solve the problem if it is safe, otherwise we will call authorities to help us. We do however always react and always respond with all of our staff and guest safety in mind. I was saddened to hear about the Guest Service representative’s reaction to your complaint and will be discussing appropriate reactions with them. Please accept my apology for that and the feelings you experienced that evening.

Comfortable hotel with enough rooms available

Pros: Pool for the children Breakfast included - nice selection
Location: We came to view the dragon boat races which were taking place in the town and to celebrate a birthday so this location worked well.
I night stay for family members - 3 rooms. Able to put us close to each other even tho reservations had been made at different times. One large room was a plus to accommodate a playpen for a young child.

Stayed for 3 nights & definitely would again. Renovated rooms, great bedding, choice of pillows, and clean. Breakfast offered both hot and cold items & was sufficient. Only thing missing for me was no fitness room.
