Pros: Did not have to go anywhere, all conveniences available in the hotel, also the view of the ski hill from the room.
Cons: Sound proofing the rooms and breakfast was a little pricey.
Overall experience was good, loved the pool and hot tub outside, but wear a hat in hot tub in winter.

Disappointed

Pros: Nothing
We stayed at the villas. Room was dirty, bathtubs didn't drain. Rust and grime in grouting. Poor lighting. Beds lumpy and uncomfortable

Our best Vacation !

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Everything was great.
Location: We were close to Petoskey and Charlevoix, also Boyne City.
We stayed at the "Boyne Mountain Grand Lodge" on August 19th and 20th. We loved our room, it had 2 bathrooms, kitchen, livingroom and a wonderful bedroom. We also had 2 balconies. We will tell our families and friends about our stay!

July at Boyne Mountain

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Very clean, large room that was well equipped (TV, fridge, microwave, couch (sofa-bed), table with chairs).
Cons: More staff at front desk when needed, and the decor was not to my liking; (maybe faux Swiss appeals to some, but I'll take my knotty pine plain).
Location: Beautiful spot! Everything for a good family time.
If you want a large room with good amenities this is excellent, but unnecessarily expensive. If you also want to golf, use a fun pool/indoor waterpark, or to ski in winter, this is great! The room we had was large and was equipped with a fridge and microwave; very comfortable as a base for fun activities. We had a couple problems which I imagine were not typical: 1. When we checked in it took close to 30 minutes to get through the line at registration; not appropriate. 2. The internet was down when we were there, and that is something I depend on for a lot of my communication, both with family and for some short messages to work. (And I was unable to use it to stream movies as I would have liked.) The staff was friendly and helpful, but not enough people manned the front desk, therefore check in took too long. Restaurants and pool seemed very good.

Old building way behind the main hotel

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: We were way in the back building that must be at least 50 years old. This part of the hotel should have been updated years. Ago.
Cons: The hotel staff should have told us that we would be put back in a very old, loud part of the complex.
Location: Upper Michigan is very beautiful. Lots to see and do.
It was a cold night. No heat. Walls were paper thin. We could hear everything in the rooms above and around us. We got very little sleep. The cleaning staff was very good. We will not be back.

Nice hotel ski resort even in summer.

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: The whole resort is designed to entertain and follows the snow ski outdoor theme. There was a lot activities going on all the time. Staff were great.
Cons: Parking is limited. This is an older resort but well kept and maintained.
Location: It is a ski resort. There are lakes and cottages nearby. Several smaller restaurants near by.
Booked a room to attend a wedding near by. Hotel was great. Decor was charming. Wish we more time to enjoy the resort but will go back again and plan more time. We did enjoy the Trophy Room. The Snow flake lounge was nice too but a more upbeat music and louder enviroment.

NOISY, NOISY, NOISY

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Location, staff & golf courses.
Cons: Rooms need updating and insulation could be dramatically improved.
Location: Lots of golf and traveling options.
Great amenities and dining options. Hotel staff were cordial and dining staff were most pleasant. We stayed in a lower level condo and were plagued by a herd of elephants above us for 5 days and nights. The upper level condo was housing young children so the constant thumping on the floor was probably inevitable. A nearby unit had its air conditioner on for at least 144 hours and generate some undesirable noises during the night. On Monday morning, about 5:45 a.m., the rush of water awakened us as the automatic sprinklers came on and the water pipes were located on the outer wall of our condo. The golf courses were excellent and all was good with the notable exception of the noise.
