good location for the price

Five minute walk to Jett bus station and visitors center, as well as entrance Petra. Great to stay at after 10 hours of hiking all day. Service is excellent. In Petra town, ten min downhill from wadi mousa, or 15-20 min walk up to city center of wadi mousa. Cheap taxi rides. Overall, good stay. Stayed here only because desired hotel was completely booked this night. Was cheap value for the stay.

Conveniently located

Close to Petra entrance. We had a room at the end of the building and internet was very patchy. A good breakfast selection each morning we were there.

Great to be close to Petra entrance

The hotel was fine and what shiuld be expected for cost/location. Only a few minutes' walk from the entrance it was what I wanted. However, the decor is a little tired and the bathrooms could use a revamp. On check-in I ended up in an argument over a double/twin room - I wanted a double and had booked a double. By the end I was furious and needed to point the receptionist towards their website which listed doubles and twins as a different style, counter to his poimt. It set up for a bad start. The food for breakfast was fine and what should be expected. The restaurant across the road in the Silk Road Hotel parking area wasbasic but very good.

Great location

This is a lovely hotel with great staff, clean and comfortable bedrooms and in a great location only minutes away from the main entrance to Petra. The downfall for us was the state of the bathroom - very badly designed for such a small room - otherwise Candles would have 5's all the way from us.

Close to Petra visitor centre.

This hotel is basic but perfect for exploring Petra. The rooms are slightly dated but clean and functional. The hotel staff can arrange transfers to your next destination. So not stay at this hotel if you have any mobility issues - the hotel is up a small but steep hill.

Great location, but a bit shabby

If the main reason for travelling to Wadi Musa is to visit Petra then this is a good choice since it's just a 5 min walk from the main entrance. However, if you'd like to spend time hanging out in the hotel then there are better choices since it looks a bit worn inside and the bathroom was rather run down. And in our room there wasn't a proper door to the bathroom but a sliding door type of thing that was rather thin with gaps here and there around the edges. We had an early start on our last day and at 5am there was no hot water, but by the time we were ready to leave just after 6am the warm water was up and running. For a trip with mates it's a good choice but if I was travelling with my loved one I would spend a bit extra on a better one. On another note there is no ATM in the area but there are several up in the village which is about a 15 min walk from the hotel. However, the best restaurants we found were down by the hotel rather than up in the village.

Cons: Water wasn't very warm, but that is a minor issue.
