Older Hotel with no in room WifiPosted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Staff and Breakfast
Cons: Wifi in the rooms and restaurant.
Location: This hotel is 3 minutes walk to Petra. An amazing place you must visit at least once in your life.
Nice staff, clean and comfortable. Wifi only available in the lobby and lobby was cold and not very inviting. Otherwise a great place to stay. Breakfast was included and was a very good buffet.

Best option in Wadi RumPosted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: Friendly efficient staff
Cons: Breakfast menu
Location: Stone throw distance from the visitor's centre, lovely souveniers and restaurants nearby
Petra palace is very conveniently located close to the visitor's centre in Wadi rum. This can be a real plus if you are undertaking an ardous trek in Petra during the day. There is no WiFi in rooms and you need to frequent the lobby each time you need to access your facebook / news page. The only English channels available are CNN, BBC and a movie channel. The swimming pool is okay to relax but not a very value added option in Winter. The breakfast menu is really basic - we had the same menu on all the days we stayed at the Petra Palace. The hotel staff are really helpful and guide you to various tourist spots. The rates are value for money and much preferred to other ones that are very far off from the visitor's centre. The only ATM machine in the lane is inside the Move-n-pick hotel which is close to Petra palace The rooms can seem a bit dark and the lift does creak and needs maintenance but that's ok for the price you pay

Great locationPosted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: The location, the pools, the bar.
Cons: Breakfast wasn't great - no toast making facilities and virtually no staff present to clear and reset tables.
Location: Location is ideal both for visitng Petra and for going out for a meal in the evening.
Nice comfortable hotel situated within walking distance of the main entrance to Petra. Good size, comfortable rooms and the hotel bar serves alcohol. The hotel is not smart (could do with a facelift) but the pools are great for cooling off after a day of sightseeing. We are a family of 5 and had two connecting rooms which is always convenient.

This hotel has obviously seen better days. A surley skeleton staff lurked around unlit corridors on our visit in late August. The breakfast wasa mean stale affair overseen by an officious "guard". On our floor neither fire stair was identified and one had an inoperative door handle! There was no fire exit info in the room.Dissapointing and not reccomended.

Generally comfortable rooms, good service, good location. No wi-fi in the rooms, only in the (very uncomfortable) lobby. Nice swimming pool, too.

Excellent emplacementPosted Jul 27, 2014 on Hotels.com

Helpful staffPosted Jul 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel locates between Petra and Musa, walkable distance to Petra in few minutes, The staff are helpful. The air conditioner in the first room assigned was not cool, and not opened to balcony as stated in hotel.com, we requested to change room, and were offered the room direct access to the pool, so it is fine for my friend could smoke outside the room. We asked for hot water in the non-business time, the restaurant manager was helpful to ask the staff to prepare even they did not have at that time. However, there are quite a lot of inserts like dragonflies in the pools, so I did not use the pools, they need cleanup more often. Moreover, the wifi only available in lobby.

Very close to entrance of Visitors Center in PetraPosted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Proximity to Petra entrance where all the taxis are
Cons: Breakfast was lean and mean No toiletries provided No wireless in rooms or dining area
Location: Many restaurants, convenience stores, gift shops are all along street
Basic minimum standards for reasonable price. Hotel has small pool.
