Quaint house not minutes away from city centrePosted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: It was comfortable and homely and our host was gracious as could be.
Cons: I can't think of anything.
Location: Only a short train trip from city centre, where one can access any number of famous historical sites
I really enjoyed my stay here, it was the perfect place to spend a night while exploring Philly. Our host was gracious and willing to make a plan, no matter the guest's needs. She gave excellent service and was a mine of knowledge about Philadelphia and the surrounding area. The house itself is comfortable and homely, only 10min walk from the nearest train station. From there it is a hop, skip and a jump into city centre. Beautiful part of town, quiet and peaceful. For us, the affordability helped make this an easy choice and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay from one night to many.

Highly recommended for the B & B travelerPosted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: The bed was super comfortable. The room has everything a modern traveler needs. The owner is very friendly. The host-cats are very sweet.
Cons: Allow for a later breakfast: for me 8 am was too early.
Location: Location is great, nearby major road; the neighborhood is quiet and seems safe.
My stay was very enjoyable. I wish I could have stay longer.

Quiet and convenientPosted Jan 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
From the moment I arrived at Burbridge B&B there was a welcoming and friendly reception which continued throughout my stay. The innkeeper provided me with invaluable local and must see places of interest. I received a very welcome hot coffee on arrival which was very much appreciated. With all the information available I was able to make the most of my time in Philadelphia. It was a pleasure meeting this innkeeper who has a great passion and appreciation do Philadelphia and its many cultures. My main memory of Philadelphia will be the warm welcome and relaxed stay at Burbridge B&B. Thank you.

don't miss breakfast!Posted Jan 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
I thought staying at this B&B was ok, I was disappointed that we were made to feel guilty if we missed breakfast at 8am, when breakfast only consisted of fruit & toast (oatmeal upon request). But we made fun of it, that's what got us through our stay. It is a lovely home, little drafty & floors creak. And you do have to share a bathroom with the other guests. But that wasn't too bad!

Great for a short stayPosted Jan 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
I did not stay the entire night as I had multiple obligations on the day I was booked. Also the weather was terrible. In spite of that, the room was very nice and comfortable. I would like to stay again.

Needs some TLCPosted Nov 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The proprietor clealy loves antiques and tries to encorporate them into the vintage feel of the house. However, it comes of being cluttered and busy. Many of the antiques are in poor condition, including some of the furniture in the guest rooms. The houses very worn out... Time and investment should be made in refinishing floors, installing a safety railing on the porch, repainting peeling paint, etc. Upper level rooms could easily be converted to ensuite if the random kitchen was converted into a bathroom for one of the bedrooms instead on having the single bathroom shared. Whole house really needed a thorough dusting. There was dust everywhere and my husband really disliked the smell of cat in our room. Proprietor was very friendly and helpful and gave us info on getting to downtown and places to eat local to the b&b.

Very nice bed and breakfastPosted Oct 23, 2013
Pros: Comfortable, friendly
Cons: Old house. but everything works fine
This is a very well run bed and breakfast. She has a lot of experience in the business and it is apparent. The room was comfortable and had all of the amenities that I needed. We had fresh fruit with breakfast and a good variety of breakfast cereals and breads to choose from.

Reasonable and clean little b&bPosted Oct 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
A great place. We will be staying again. My only issue was the two very cute and friendly cats. I am really allergic and it didn't say anything about them on the site. The place was really great aside from that though!
