Quiet out of the way place.Posted Jul 27, 2014
The B&B was on a quiet street and within walking distance of the train station. I was on a layover from England and appreciated the nice bed and the quiet neighborhood. Good breakfast and good conversation.

GOT MY REFUND - BEWARE OF THIS SCAM ARTISTPosted Jul 16, 2014
I FINALLY just got a refund from Expedia for this horrific experience. I went there with a friend for a night, thinking nothing could go wrong with a friendly lady greeted us outside the door. As soon as we walked in, we knew something was off. It was 90 degrees outside, and there was NO air conditioning on or ANY windows open in the house. I found out that you have never really smelled cat urine until you have smelled it at this temperature.... oh my god. The smell of cat urine infiltrated the entire house, to the point where I wanted to gag. She led us to our room, where I was greeted by CATS IN MY BED. It said there would be a cat on the premises - NOT IN MY BED!!!!! I couldn't believe it. The cat was licking itself on my bed, and she told us that if we didn't want him on there, we could push him off at night. I thought the stench and the cats in my bed were enough, but no - then she proceeded to tell us that we had to sleep underneath the comforter --- BECAUSE IF WE DIDN'T, SHE WOULD HAVE TO WASH IT!!!! Those are her own words, people! I knew this was a scam when I told her I was leaving after 1 hour of this horrific place, and she still charged me for the room. Expedia tried to call her for a WEEK with no answer, so they finally realized how horrible she is and just gave me the refund. Ha, you can't scam me lady! BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!

lovely location, nice little restaurants nearby and an awesome 8-mile nature trail. cute friendly cats in the house and the owner was very informative about the history of philadelphia and told us of all different places to visit during the day. the house itself is an old victorian house. very old-fashioned but well kept. nice stay :)

nice B&B and cordial innkeeperPosted Jul 1, 2014
It was a great experience to stay in this B&B. The location is close to metro station (walking distance) and the innkeeper was very enthusiastic. If you are first time in Philadelphia, the innkeeper can recommend you a lot of places and local restaurants, which will definitely have you familiarize this city in a short time and reluctant to leave....

Adorable room and hospitable hostPosted May 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
When you walk in the house, you wont believe how lovely the house is. The host are very knowledgeable about antique furniture and there is a story behind each piece of them. Besides, there are two very cute cats which definitely make the stay unforgettable. The breakfast is great and chatting with the host is a well start of the day. Highly recommend this place if you love cats and want to see something different!

Warm welcomePosted Apr 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed a two night stay here while visiting Philly. We felt very welcomed by Marney into her home. She was a font of knowledge about the city and local area, and showed us her wonderful art collection. Staying here had a very homely feel, with sociable breakfasts and individually decorated rooms.
