Nice central location

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Self service cupboard with extra blankets and pillows on each floor was a nice feature.
Location: Nice hotel in the center of the city, easy to get to museums and historic district. Nearby shopping and restaurants.
We stayed at this hotel while visiting Philadelphia for the weekend, central to everything we wanted to do and within easy walking distance of the train station.

Good location, awful hotel

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Perfectly located in center city. However, there were stains on the comforter, dust bunnies in the carpet, especially along the walls, and the bedroom floor wasn't level, so the bed was on a negative incline.... So much blood rushed to my head....

Hotel close to the NSCAA Convention

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Character
Cons: Training of your reservation staff to be clear of what events are happening in your area to know when the hotel could be at capacity.
Location: Plenty of great restaurants and bars all in walking distance.
I put a comment in the booking when made on line and found out that the room that was reserved had only one bed. Made a call to the hotel right away and was told "there will be plenty of two bed rooms" available. This was not so. When I checked in my room guest and I had to share one bed. Thankfully, the staff was able to find a two room solution the next night. This did not make for a pleasant experience.

Centrally located, and adequate

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Location, and price compared to others in vicinity.
Location: Walking distance to most visitor attractions.
Room a little small but adequate. Was upgraded to what was a little bigger room, overheard two couples complaining about how small their room was. Bathrooms small. Having the Davio's restaurant attached was convenient, although a little pricey. Not that it affected me but the lounge coffee and snacks were not always replenished continuously enough. Just a simple coffee supply with fresh milk or cream would suffice rather than the fancy espresso, cappuccino and latte machine. Overall the Hotel fulfilled my needs. The membership points and rewards club seems to be only for business travelers that can pay a membership fee......don't understand that.....would look to stay in other club quarters properties if I could benefit from doing so as an individual/small business owner.

The hotel is nice but confusing. The outside doesn't look like a hotel. Food was good and the room was nice.

European-like stay in the heart of the city

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Sure, I've since renamed the hotel "Cramped Quarters" since my stay, as the rooms are fairly compact, but the design and decor is very European, and far from the sprawling suites we've grown accustomed to staying in in the US. The secure elevators (you need your room key to operate) are nice, as is the water stations on every floor and coffee/cappuccino in the lobby. The bed is a bit firm, but I'm sure it's hard to accommodate everyone's needs when catering to a broad clientele. The hotel staff were very friendly, and ease of check-in at the kiosk made a late arrival that much easier to take. Would recommend this to anyone staying downtown.

Attention to detail...

Posted Jan 20, 2015
I really liked the small things like sparkling water and coffee anytime and purified water on each floor with bottles for my convenience. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable especially Michael and Lisa who I met the first night. They provided us with several options as we toured Philly.

Good location in Center City

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, Davio's Restaurant located on the property - one of the best in Philly. Easy to get taxi's. Lots of shops & good places to eat near by
Cons: better heating and a coffee pot in the coffee maker
Location: Convention center, city hall, art museums, restaurants, shopping. Liberty Bell, Rocky Steps all nearby. 9th street Italian Markets & Magic Gardens. A+
Good hotel, comfortable beds. We had a 1 room suite with plenty of room for the 3 of us. Bathroom a little on the small side. Were able to get plenty of towels and bedding for the hide a bed. Couldn't find the blow dryer, it was hidden in a bag in the closet. Would stay there again.
