ALL IN ALL GREAT HOTEL AND GREAT LOCATION. TERMINAL MARKET IS A 2 MIN WALK FROM THE SIDE OF THE HOTEL. ALSO MARKET STREET IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER WHICH LEADS TO MANY PF THE PHILLY LANDMARKS. LIBERTY BELL AND INDEPENDENCE HALL ARE ABOUT 15 MIN WALK. ALSO SEVERAL GREAT PLACES TO EAT OFF MARKET CLOSER TO THE WATER AND PENNS LANDING. IF YOU ARE TAKING MEGA BUS FROM NYC TO PHILLY MAKE SURE YOU GET OFF AT THE FIRST STOP WHICH IS 6TH AND MARKET IF NOT IT TAKES YOU TO THE BUS STATION WHICH IS FURTHER AWAY OUT OF DOWNTOWN. BUT IF YOU MAKE THE MISTAKE LIKE WE DID IT IS ONLY ABOUT $10 CAB RIDE FROM THE TRAIN STATION TO THE HOTEL.

Nice hotel in the heart of the city.

Walking distance from everything! The best restaurants are nearby and transportation is right outside of the hotel. Great spot.

Perfect location for exploring Philly

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: location, style, comfort
Cons: paying attention to green practices--towels were replaced even though I hung them up, indicating I would use them again
This historic building has been recently renovated, with beautiful, modern style in the hallways and rooms. The location is perfect for walking around Philly, or getting somewhere on public transit. It's one block from Reading Terminal Market and just across the street from City Hall. The interior style was funkier and more fun than I've come to expect from Marriott, and I loved it.

Mostly good

The hotel was clean and conveniently located but very hard to get to. When I called to get help I was hung up on. Then after we paid a very high valet fee it took more than an hour to get our car when we were told 15-20 minutes. Iit was a nice hotel but staff was less than helpful.

Great hotel close to places to eat, shop, and pu

My room was nice and the size was great I had a king bed. Water pressure on the shower was excellent. It was easy to relax in my room. There was a fridge in my room so I was able to keep leftovers.

Great stay in Downtown Philly

Posted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: Great location. Large comfortable room.
Cons: Restaurant is expensive. Parking is extremely expensive.
Location: Near Reading Market.
Very nicely located hotel. Very well-priced. Friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed our view of City Hall. Drawbacks are the expensive restaurant and parking.

Nice hotel, poor service

Terrible front desk lady. No follow up and lots of attitude. The best worker there was the housekeeping attendant who brought up our rollaway and towels.

Inside the Room is Loud

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: It was a clean room and looked like it was just renovated.
Cons: Make the room sound proof.
Location: In the middle of Center city, so close to all tourist attractions.
The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the people at the front desk were friendly. However, the room I stayed at, room 306, there was a terrible noise that sounded like the air condition duct system coming from the the walls. You won't get a good sleep in this room.
