You get what you pay for

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: The price and breakfast
Cons: make the room temperature more adjustable
Location: The convention center, city hall, the Reading market
The hotel is close to down town and mass transit, the rooms are not very spacious, breakfast was worth it- the offer includes hot choices. The staff were not very visible.

We loved Philadelphia and we're very happy with the location of Days Inn.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Should offer discounted parking with one of the area lots.
Location: City Hall was within walking distance.
This hotel is not in a safe neighborhood, although it was a few blocks away from City Hall. I would not walk night. Hotel staff member was sleeping in the lobby which was not professional. Did not expect that it would be interior rooms - no outside facing windows. Parking was terrible. There are various lots and they all charge upwards of 30+ per night.

Just pay a little more $$, and get a better hotel!

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Location: It's right next to chinatown, and walkable to center city
The staff told me the wrong information about parking!! Was told I could park on the street in front of the hotel overnight and would not get a ticket...and ended up getting a ticket for parking on the street during the hours the receptionist said it would be free!!!!! The AC in the room was broken, so during our whole stay the room was really hot. There was no fridge in the room either which was also disappointing.

Stayed for Convention....

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: location close to convention center and local train stations for easy travel to/from airport and trade shows
Cons: local neighboring businesses/homeless shelters are a bit rough, but tolerable
nice, easy walk to convention center. included breakfast was adequate, but left something to be desired. staff was very pleasant and accommodating, helping me check in early and navigate local area for dining and general directions.

This is clearly a 2-star hotel

Posted Jun 12, 2015
This place doesn't cut it in my view-a solid 2-star hotel that Is not worth the cost. Room was confined, there was a loud ventilator noise in the hallway that was on all night, the breakfast room was a depressing room in the basement, with low quality food. The place/aesthetic in general is dark and dingy.

If you love noise all night long, stay here

Posted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: See above. I like Days Inn generally, but this was way below par. Esp when room rates are comparable to much nicer hotels nearby.
Cons: See above. A top to bottom reno would make sense, with more between-floor and wall/window soundproofing, brighter paint, improved plumbing.
Location: See above. Chinatown is a short walk, Convention Center right across the street.
The good: Location to center city is great, esp. to Chinatown and great restaurants. The rooms are serviceable and very clean. Free breakfast: you get what you pay for, which is just the basics - cereal, toast, muffins, oatmeal. Bypass the coffee. Staff is extremely helpful, cheerful and polite. The bad: Noise levels are off the charts. There is a homeless shelter next door, which is fine, but the residents hang out in the street until all hours, talking loudly until after 11, and it starts up again around 5 a.m. There is also a bus stop right in front of the hotel with frequent buses loading and unloading. You can hear people talking and walking in the room above you (or worse, I swear the person above me was doing aerobics from 10-11 every night). When anyone flushes a toilet, it sounds like Niagara Falls will come through the walls. TV service is continuously interrupted with a 'no signal' message for a few seconds several times an hour. Rooms have no fridge or microwave, no closets, and the sink is outside the bathroom. Water pressure fairly low. It is a 5-story hotel. The ugly: This had nothing to do with the quality of my stay, but the lobby is awful. It looks like the lobby of those hotels that Law and Order cops visit when they're looking for a hiding-out drug dealer. Also, my room had a window to the street, but since the building is in a rowhouse type setting, the inside rooms have no windows other than one tiny window that looks out on the hallway.

Poor

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: Location was excellent.
Cons: See "Write about your experience" and resolve the issues. Considering the issues, we feel a partial refund is due.
Location: Lots and lots of good Philly fun.
Staff - rude, unaccomodating, unfriendly. Not even a smile and hello in passing. Cost - booked, nothing about $34 to park for one night; told us we could get $10 rollaway bed for 3rd guest, then when we checked in they would not allow it. Guest left without a bed. Room - beyond tiny, heat/air working poorly, shower stall was not cleaned from prior guest, toilet also unclean in bowl. Breakfast - 9:45am coffee empty, hot food empty, never replenished.
