Traveling several hours to attend the funeral of a loved one can only have disappointment added to an already stressful situation when the hotel staff, like those of the Days Inn - Roosevelt Blvd - Philadelphia, PA greet you with unwelcome arms. The cash paying clientele who arrived after me (who were paying much more than me) were greeted with friendliness and obtained there rooms before I did. I had the additional task (the cash payers did not) of completing what can only be compared to a job application. Further, for convenience I put my second room in my elderly mother's name. I was not allowed to retrieve her room key and she was forced to leave the car where she was resting comfortably to complete her "application" for a room. I was specific that my second room should have 2 double beds; however, it turned out to be only one bed in the smallest double size legally allowed. When I next travel the 9 hour one-way trip to Philadelphia I will stay elsewhere. ONE POSITIVE. The security person on duty to secure the grounds greeted us with warmth and assured us that our cars would be safe as he made regularly walked the parking lot all night. This gentleman was the one bright spot in an otherwise dismal stay.

Pros: online
Cons: see above
Location: nothing nearby.
No refrigerator - I take insulin every day. We improvised by getting a bucket of ice for the cooler am and pm. No outlets - I use a cpap machine - nowhere to plug it in. Ad says only 10 minutes from downtown Philly - then why did it cost us $35 each way by taxi? $70.00 a day. We left 1 day early.

Very disorganized

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Nothing really
Cons: They should invest in a pool, refrigerator in rooms, and a better continental breakfast.
Location: The location was okay close to gas, food
At check in time, I checked in the next business and was still charged for the same amount of my reservation. Hotel clerk could not find my reservation so I had to give him the printed copy. Staff seemed cold and unwelcoming. There were traces of mouse droppings as well.

It was an OK Hotel

Posted Feb 14, 2014
Pros: It was very close to where Iwas working for Philidelphia Electric Company
Cons: The main thing is better pillows
Location: there is an IHOP next Door and several extremly good local resturaunts nearby
It is an OK Hotel as far as it goes. I have stayed at better Hotels alot more expensive and worse hotels more expensive. The free breakfast left alot to be desired but for the price of the room I could afford to go to IHOP for breakfast anyway and it was just across the parking lot. The rooms were not huge but not too small either. It was clean, just older furnishings and such.

Horrible Customer Service

Posted Jan 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was tolerable but the customer service was horrible. It was very cold even with the heat on I asked for an extra blanket and they rudely told me no and that Walmart was down the street if I wanted another blanket. For the amount that was paid they should have been able to offer an extra blanket
