Great location for visiting museums!

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Location, A/C, spaciousness & comfort of room
Cons: Include breakfast
Location: Art and science museums
Though we didn't need it, we were in a handicap accessible room right by the elevators. We were a bit concerned, but heard very little noise. The room was spacious, clean, cool (Very hot out!) and had a great view & layout. I had seen an online concern about bed bugs from 2009, but there were none in sight.

Very nice and helpful staff, especially the porters who came out do direct the drop off etc and then gave a helpful restaurant recommendation. He was an older gray haired gentleman. Made things easier.

Great Stay in Philly

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: The room was spacious, the staff helpful and courteous and it was close to all that we wanted to see in Philadelphia.
Cons: I think the meal prices were high.
Location: The Doubletree is located near Old City, Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell etc. and within a short cab ride to museums, shopping and dining.
Our stay at the Hilton Doubletree was most enjoyable. The staff, in particular the man who took our bags to our room and the door man were great. The desk clerk saw that we were traveling with our daughter, and gave us a spacious corner room with a sofa bed, in addition to our 2 queen beds, so we wouldn't feel 'crowded.'. The room was spotless, the bathroom as well. We did not eat at the hotel, as we felt the prices were high for the meals served. The Doubletree is very close to the Old City. We could walk or take a cab for just a few dollars. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Nice, clean hotel in downtown Philly with easy access to all attractions. Good parking (pricey as usual), and the rooms are big with great views. I will stay there again for this great price.
