Nice hotel convenient to train station and airport

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff.
Location: It was convenient together from the railway station and close enough to the airport
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable, could do with some upgrades but it was still a nice hotel with convenient location. The free breakfast buffet was also a plus. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others .

Hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was a good size and the evening happy hour and morning buffet breakfast were good perks of the hotel.

Horrible customer service, friendliness, & filthy!

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: just about everything.
lied about parking options in city so was duped into high price per day parking. rooms were disgusting! furniture old and stained. floors sticky and unsanitary. kids had black feet after going barefoot in rooms. manager on duty not conscientious of customer service. ran out of water and wouldn't get more. breakfast area looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. sticky, moldy all resulting in a way overpriced room for filth! Asked to check out one day early and manager said she didn't care but they do not give out refunds. REALLY!? Such a shame to embassy suites legacy.

Very good hotel

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Almost everything about this hotel was great. The room was huge and the location is perfect, plus the complimentary breakfast in the morning and drinks at night are really nice. The problem we had was that we found a pair of socks from a previous client under the bed, which lead us to believe that the cleaning process is not very thorough.

Wonderful hotel with excellent location!

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: Location and facilities
Location: Liberty Bell is about 30 minutes walking distance with many museums, shops, pharmacies and restaurants in between.
Everyone was courteous and friendly from the moment we arrived. The room was big, clean and with very comfortable beds. Extra amenities such as microwave, fridge and a balcony with a nice view are included with no extra cost. Hot breakfast with a variety of items is included. The location of the restaurant is wonderful having the option of eating outside with a beautiful view. On the day of your check out, you can leave your bags downstairs in their storage with no extra cost. On the top, the valet gentleman who was working that day, went the extra mile offering us to load our van with our bags while we went for a walk! That was a very nice gesture!

Good place to stay, but service a little spotty

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: We needed a suite, so lots of privacy and good-sized room. Free breakfast was good and convenient.
Cons: The service.
Location: Philadelphia is a great city, so you just can't go wrong here. I loved the art museums - PMA, Barnes, Rodin. Also, the historical sites.
We were on a low floor, so it was a little noisy. Construction going on next door. The location was good, depending on what you would like to do. Walking distance to most museums; bit of a long walk to the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, etc., but doable. The service was spotty depending on who was on duty. Some days the bell and front desk service were really friendly and helpful, other days, a but surly and unapproachable. Same for the breakfast service. One day, our room was not cleaned. When I called the front desk, I was told it was my fault because I didn't remove the Do Not Disturb sign till I got back from breakfast at 10 am.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. It is with feedback from our guests we understand our areas of opportunity. I am happy you enjoyed the location and the comforts of our large guest suites during your stay. However, I would like to apologize for the inconsistency you experienced with the front desk and bell/valet staff, this is not the high level of service and consistency we strive to provide. Our goal is to ensure all of our guests enjoy a great stay and offer assistance in any way we can to ensure a great and pleasurable memory of the Embassy Suites Center-City. My hope is that we see you in the not so distant future.

Embassy Suites, Philadelphia on Parkway

Posted Jul 23, 2015
The front desk is ignorant and clueless. No one came to clean the room for 2 days and when I called the front desk, I was told that there was a "do not disturb" sign on the door. The house keeping only comes around once and if the sign is hanging, they do not come back. Both days the sign was removed at 11.00 AM. After arguing for a while with the front desk, a supervisor was sent to our room. She was very nice and made arrangements for clean linen, coffee cups, and tea bags People at breakfast place were really nice and helpful.

I apologize that you did not have a great experience with the front desk during your stay. You mentioned in your comments that you had a do not disturb on your door but removed it before the afternoon. When we find a guest room has a do not disturb on a door we slide a card under the door to explain what to do if you would like service once it is removed – I truly apologize for the inconvenience. Our goal is that you have a great stay while staying with us and to provide the high level service you deserve. I have shared your comments with our management team for further review. Thank you for sharing.
