Not the Four Seasons feelPosted Nov 4, 2013
I was disappointed. I have stayed at Four Seasons before and for the money, expect more. Most of the time I'm satisfied but not this trip. The rooms have standard amenities, nothing special. Although the bed was comfortable, there was only a small chair to sit in otherwise. The carpet in the hallways was in disrepair and the bathroom needs updating. It's conveniently located close to the museums and such but that's about all it has going for it.

Cons: Better ventilation in the bathroom.
Location: EVERYTHING is near by. You can either walk or use one of the tour buses to get to all of the tourist attractions.
My daughter and I stayed here in July, 2013. We were vacationing in Philly. We were WAY out of our element, as we are a middle class family that does not stay at hotels very often, much less a hotel this fancy. All of the other guests were always "dressed to the nines", and there seemed to be quite a few on business trips. NO ONE ever treated us any different than the "fancy" people. Every time we encountered someone from the staff they always smiled and said hello and some even told us to have a nice day, or evening. I am a smoker, so I had to go outside to smoke and none of the employees looked differently towards me when they were opening the door for me when I went back inside. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the SLIGHT musty smell in the room. We either didn't have a fan in the bathroom or it wasn't working, so I think that could have contributed to the smell. It is within walking distance, depending on how far you are willing to walk, of quite a few restaurants from TGI Fridays to small cafe's to fancy sit down themed restaurants. We didn't want to have to drive in Philly, nor pay the parking fees, so we flew and took a cab to the hotel. Sometimes we would walk as far as a mile, there and back, but it was always worth it.

A nice, old-fashioned hotel near museumsPosted Oct 16, 2013
It is an old hotel, and one cannot expect the brand new, fashionable furniture and bathroom equipment. However, everything is clean, and the staff really takes a good care of you. The restaurant, though pricey, is fabulous.

Very nice placePosted Sep 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Hotel is really great. The people who work there really know that the customer comes first. I have one problem. The Restaurant was closed for dinner for rennovations. No problem, although one of the highlights of staying there. The consierge was so use to telling and booking people into the foutain, that when it was no available, they did not have a plan for guest who asked. We went to the fork, and had a great meal, but I ended up dealing with all of the logisitics. Room was great!!

Always spot on!Posted Sep 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
I've been to events or stayed at the Four Seasons Philadelphia many times over the past ten years or so and have never been disappointed. I should also say, I've also been to all the other highest rated hotels in the city and also to some of the greatest hotels in the world. The Four Season is undoubtedly the consistent class act and is the gem of Philadelphia. Perfect location (close to everything but just enough off the beaten path) incredible service, and just plain classy establishment. My only regret is that they discontinued a midnight dessert buffet in the Swan Lounge that was a most incredible way to end a night and always a "who's who" of Philadelphia in attendance. Bring it back!!!
