“"My favorite in Philly"”
Rooms are lovely and newly renovated. Beautiful bathroom. Service was excellent. Wonderful Italian restaurant downstairs with a charming decor, meal was exceptional! Conveniently located between U Penn and Drexel University.
“Great hotel in a great neighborhood”
First stay in Philadelphia and I can't say enough about the positive experience we had with The Hilton Inn at Penn. Surrounded by many eclectic and inviting shops. Warm staff, an iPad in our room for service and information, quiet accomodations. It was really a great experience for the short weekend stay that we had - thank you!
“Convenient and clean.”
Very nice hotel. Clean and comfy. Service slow and not overly attentive but maybe due to having confined audience since on U Pen campus. Examples incl: Work out room no towels or headsets as advertised, bar in hotel no bar tender and waited 1/2 hour at 9 pm on Friday night even asked at front desk and was told someone would be there shortly but no one showed up. Little things like that. But over-all very nice and clean attractive rooms.
“Won't stay there again”
To be brief, there are no printed materials in the hotel room explaining features / restaurant hours / fitness hours or room service choices...you have to use the free of charge ipad in your room for these things. Ours did not work, when the hotel sent a technician to our room to look at it. He took it with him, without giving us a replacement. We were told he'd have another one for us in the morning. To our surprise, he returned about 30 minutes later and said he fixed it. It worked for about an hour and died again. So we were out of luck. The room was not clean, it needed to be vacuumed and there was a used bar of soap under the sink in the bathroom. In addition, my son complained about wires from the mattress springs sticking into his legs. On inspection, it was a wire coat hanger that was made into the bed by the room staff in error (between the sheet and mattress). We ordered room service, as we were on a somewhat time restricted schedule and half the breakfast came. When we called, they did make and send the rest up 15 minutes later. And finally, when I went to the desk to check out, the woman could care less. She wrote nothing down about the above issues. For a hotel of this class, a huge disappointment.
“Great Hotel and convenient to Penn & Philly”
Great Hotel. Service was good. Restaurant and Bar closed @ 11PM Fri & Sat
“My new pl;ace to stay in Philly”
The service from the moment we walked in until the moment we left was fantastic. The room was outstanding and the amenities were great. Loevd the food in the University Club. My only problem, was the temp, but it cooled off after an hour or so.
“Great Hotel”
I stayed here for a meeting at the Wharton School, so it was well-located. If it maters to you, ask for a room with exterior views (not rooftop). My room looked out at a massive roof top (ugly) which would have been a problem for me if I'd been in my room during the daytime.
“Directly on Campus of University of Pennsylvania”
Very convenient nice hotel
“Campus Life is Close when Staying at The Inn at Penn”
A wonderful hotel which puts you in close proximity to all of the benefits of The University of Pennsylvania.
“One of the best hotels in Philly”
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel from checking in until checking out. The facility is well decorated and maintained. The staff are nice and courteous. The location is exactly we need it. Daily breakfast was wonderful. Besides, I was able to get a great rate on Expedia. What else can be better?
