Great bus route for Downtown (the 44)!

Posted Dec 12, 2014
Pros: Clean, great value, public transport accessible
Initially I was a bit concerned as it was over the river away from the City and we were using public transport - but catching the 44 Bus from 30th St Amtrak Station was easy and we were outside the hotel in 25 minutes. The staff were really friendly as we were way early for booking in but they got us a suite straight away. The complimentary evening meal (Mon-Thurs) was lovely, fresh salad and a hot course with vegetables. You basically served yourself which included a choice of beer, wine, soft drinks - which many diners took full advantage of! Breakfast was also fab and the room was great with a spacious bed, sofa, armchair, great kitchenette and bathroom. You also have access to the Hotel swimming pool next door plus gym - there's also a useful Business Centre if your WiFi plays up...Just be careful when you check out as they assume you've come by car and they will Invoice you for parking - obviously not used to mad Brits using public transport! ; )

perfect hotel for my needs

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: Great staff, accommodations and facilities overall.
Cons: Parking situation, It may be considered a suburb of Philly but if I park the car myself I don't think I should have to pay a fee even if it's only $5.
Location: Mall, target, and a good amount of restaurants all within walking distance.
Room was great, had a mini kitchen and living room and more than fulfilled my needs. Parking was a little inconvenient; the options are to either parallel park on the street for free (though after a certain timeframe there won't be any spots left) or park in a lot a short distance down the block and across the street for $5. The parking situation is the only reason I didn't rate this hotel an overall score of 5. Great staff, accommodations and facilities overall though, convenient to certain parts of Philly and a mall. If I had to stay in the area again I would book this hotel in a heartbeat.

Nice Hotel close to almost everything!

Posted Nov 30, 2014
Pros: everything
Cons: more luggage carts would be helpful.
Location: plenty of shopping and close to the turnpike.
We arrived in the evening and were greeted by Alicia , who was friendly and informative. She really made us feel welcome. Every evening she worked we were greeted with "welcome home". All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was awesome ! The evening meal was delightful and filling. Looking forward to a return visit.

Great hotel, parking is a bit of a pain

Posted Nov 11, 2014
We enjoyed the stay, just didn't like walking and having to pay 5 a day for parking but that's just being nitpicky. Great staff, clean room, really close to the city.

Comfortable hotel with excellent staff

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Room was nicely furnished and of a good size.
Cons: The fitness/swimming pool areas were a bit drab and not very well maintained.
Location: 10-15 minutes drive to city centre but good local shopping/dining within walking distance.
Although some distance from the city centre there is a frequent cheap local bus service which only takes about 10-15 mintues. Hotel itself was clean and the rooms a good size and well furnished. The pool is much smaller than the pictures make it appear and there is no changing or shower facilities which makes the sign saying you must shower before entering a bit silly! The staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was of a good standard.

The only thing we did not like was that the hotel's website said they had accessible parking and they did not. Was very inconvenient to have to walk down the hill to parking lot and back up to hotel for persons with limited mobility.
