LOCATIONPosted Apr 18, 2015
Lovely property with a fantastic location. Quick trip from the airport and you're in the perfect place for shopping and site seeing. Smallish somewhat dark property but it's s comfortable place with pretty much all you need. Fantastic redtsurant with many healthy delicious choices. I was there on business and it was ok for meetings. Not great. Asked for a 30 minute on check out. NO. Still I would come back

A good hotel in PhilaPosted Apr 13, 2015
The price is good for this kinda hotel. The room is clean and well decorated. The hotel is in the heart of the city, close to a restaurant street, and has easy access to the tourist spots. The drawback is that there is a hint of bad smell in the room, but it is tolerable. Also, every guest here seems to own a dog.

Dog friendly in PhillyPosted Apr 11, 2015
It's hard to find a nice hotel that will allow dogs over 30 pounds. The Palomar is a great choice - my 85 pound black lab was welcomed and we all enjoyed the convenient location near shopping, restaurants and of course, the park!

Nice hotel in good locationPosted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: It's location and the helpful hotel personnel. Its restaurant is a sort of bar with a god lunch menu. My chicken salad sandwich was quite good.
Cons: The HVAC system kept going on for 5 to 10 seconds and then turning off. The minibar was not cold. Both turned out to be minor annoyances.
Location: The area is so convenient to restaurants, shopping, public transportation and cabs. I walked to the West Phila. campus of Penn and back at a leisure.
I've stayed in other hotels in the area and decided to try out the Palomar for my 2-day business trip to the City. Check-in was very pleasant as was my experience with all hotel personnel. Its the kind of standard that makes Kimpton hotels so attractive. The decor is modern, but not over the top. My room was small compared to other rooms in the area, all of which seem to have been converted from office buildings. Nevertheless, I didn't feel cramped. The bathroom was comfortable and well-equipped. The queen bed was very comfortable. I was on the 6th floor. While there's no "view," there can't be any view in this part of the City unless you stay on the very top floors.

Cool Intown RetreatPosted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: Striking style - sort of modern Art Deco.
Location: It is an easy walk to Rittenhouse Square, shops, restaurants.
I stayed overnight to attend a family gathering. The Palomar was nicely centrally located, the room was comfortable and strikingly furnished. The bathroom was clean, well lit, and complete. Best feature of the bathroom was that its light could be dimmed, which meant I could see my way to it in the night, but would not be kept awake by the light. Staff was very helpful as I struggled to connect with the WiFi. I found the door to the room excessively heavy, but once I got used to it, I could manage it.

dirt!Posted Apr 3, 2015
Pros: interior design
Cons: wash your bedsheets, get rid of filth in the bed, and place a coffeemaker in the room!
dirt in the bed; unwashed blanket; short sheets that don't protect one's body from the blanket used by previous guests

We had a great stay. Room was small but immacule aPosted Apr 2, 2015
The room was immaculate and efficient, if a bit small. No view, but we didn't care as it was a one night stay. Great location; great restaurants and museums in walking distance. Great free cocktail hour in lobby.
