Great hotel close to convention center

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, Starbucks and nice restaurant/bar within hotel, within walking distance of convention center and many other restaurants.
Cons: Pool size is too small for a large hotel like that. Also, pillows in room were extremely uncomfortable. $46-48 valet parking fee is a bit too much.
Location: Reading Terminal Market, Chilis, and Hard Rock Cafe within 1-2 blocks. Also, for dessert, Philly Cupcake & More than Just Ice Cream within 5-8 blocks.
Beautiful hotel close to convention center... You can either walk through the inside connecting skywalk or walk 1-2 blocks outside. Hotel is within walking distance to many nice restaurants/shops. We liked the fact that hotel offers indoor parking but it is limited valet parking priced at $46-48/night. I'd recommend parking at another garage to save some bucks, especially if you are staying for a few nights. Room was great... Clean, perfect size for two but pillows were horrible. We choose to sleep with no pillows since it was unbearable. Also, during the night, around 4am, fire alarms started going off LOUDLY! It gave us quite a scare but it seemed to have been some sort of malfunction (which lasted over 10 minutes). Receptionist at lobby said there was nothing to worry about and alarms would be shut off soon but it ruined our sleep regardless.

The rooms were really clean, but there was no refrigerator and the ice machine on our floor was broken. The bed was very uncomfortable. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The pool was disappointing.

Weekend getaway

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Me and my husband stay in the hotel for the weekend on our getaway without the child. It was beautiful and clean room with modern touches and felt very luksury to stay in this hotel down town Philadelphia. Walking distance to historical places and beautiful pier. The stuff was nice and helpful, the room new and clean with very Comftable bed.

Very good central location

Lot of activity. Easy access to regional rail lines and subway. Can walk to symphony and the like. Reading terminal Market just next door. Staff impersonal. Room very nice except for hard pillows. A functional and pleasant place to stay.

Great Location to visit Philadelphia

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: The location is the best! The rooms were very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Cons: Refrigerators in the rooms would be nice. The pool was more like a lap pool . It was hard for the kids in the pool to move around and play.
Location: The location is great. You can walk to Historic Philadelphia and to the museums. There are several restaurants in the area.
The hotel was very close to the historic area which is the main reason we went to Philadelphia. It was also very close to some of the museums and several restaurants. The room was very nice and very clean. The staff was very helpful. The only negative things I would say is that the pool they have is more like a lap pool than one where kids can play in and there was no refrigerator in our room.

Went for a conference

Location: Liberty Bell, Lots of dining (which the front desk can direct you towards) Ben Franklin Parkway, Museum of Art where "rocky" ran up the steps
Great hotel. Easy access from/to the SEPTA rail system at the Market East station. Can get off traine up up a few levels and walk right into the 3rd floor of the hotel and down to the front desk. Room and room service was good. The only problem I had with the room was the air conditioning and heat. The only option was "AUTO" . So once it got cool enough if the dropped any lower 1 degree lower the heat would cut on and then it was too warm. I tired leaving the fan on but it would cycle off if the auto moe kicked in. Maybe it was just my air unit. But I do plan on going back and seeing the sights on another trip.

Not feel Okay

Posted Jun 6, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the Philadelphia downtown
Cons: Make everything transparent. For two people package, it is not good to include only one person's meal by saying "Breakfast Included"
Location: Parking is expensive $49.00 plus tax
I went there with my husband. We chose "Breakfast Included". The breakfast restaurant charges to us for two meals. When I mentioned out package includes breakfast, the employee came to us, saying that only one breakfast is covered by the package. (1) If I did not mention about our package (there was not voucher), we would have paid for the meals; (2) For two people package, how come only one breakfast is covered. It is a deliberate misrepresentation or very cheap commercial gimmick to trick. I was so disappointed at the Marriot Hotel there.
