Great location but service subpar

Posted Jul 21, 2015
The front desk staff was pleasant, courteous and professional. However the other service staff had difficulty understanding and satisfying my requests. When I asked Guest Services for an extra ice bucket I was forwarded to room service and was informed in broken English that they didn't have too many. I had to insist in order to receive one. A later request to Guest Services for a breakfast card resulted in the delivery of a water bottle.

Independence Day, July 4, 2015

Posted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: The Sheraton's staff was kept busy throughout the day but they always had a broad welcoming smile.
Cons: Not impressed with the dining area.
Location: Historic Philadelphia has hundreds of activities to satisfy everyone; begin with the Constitution Center, the best three hours anyone can experience.
Two 80ish senior ladies wanted to see the fireworks display in Philly, so they booked a premium room at the Sheraton in Olde City. A few days later they learned that the city's fireworks would go off at the Art Museum following the young peoples' concert. They decided to keep their plans and the experience was more to their liking. The area adjacent to the Sheraton in Olde City were inhabited by families, And we happily viewed Camden's magnificent fireworks display over the Delaware River with thousands of young families.

Loved our stay

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, friendly staff, elegantly furnished and comfortable room, pet friendly, location.
Cons: Better outdoors maintenance and lighting, bathroom shower needs lighting, staff knowledge of the area and surrounding special events.
Location: Lots of shops, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. The harbor stroll is just a block away. Harbor View park. Independence Hall.
My partner and I were pleasantly surprised with our stay at this Sheraton Society Hill hotel. The staff was warm and welcoming. The hotel was clean and pet friendly to dogs under 40 pounds. Our room was elegantly furnished, roomy, and comfortable. Its location was perfect for July 4th celebration as it was within 3 blocks from Independence Hall, and one block from memorial parks, the harbor for many wonderful features and events. The Harbor View Park was particularly amazing with color changing LED lights, food vendors, and soft hammocks (!). The hotel is next to a plethora of bars and restaurants that open late on Saturday. The area felt safe with many high end hotels and condos. This hotel, however, needs to pay prompt attention to the exterior bricks and borders that are falling apart. Patios could be wonderful selling points if they were well-lit and furnished with outdoors furniture for guests. Hotel overnight parking was pricey but we were able to get great free parking and inertnet package with Expedia. Overall, I would highly recommend staying with this hotel again, especially with Expedia's special room package and excellent member support.

Nice hotel. Was very hot outside that weekend.

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: The bed was so comfortable.
Cons: the A/C should have worked better.
Location: Near everything in the Old City.
A/C in the hotel could have been much better. In the room my ac was set on 65 but could only bring the temperature down to 69. A lot of refuse was left in the halls after room service and it was not picked up in a timely manor. Everything else was great.

The staff was extremely friendly. I appreciated that the car valet let me know that it would take about 15 mins to retrieve my car so I planned for that. I was able to call down for it and it was ready. The room was nice.

Location a little difficult to drive to, but very convenient walking to restaurants in Old Town and Independence Hall and it's associated parks.

2nd time staying at this hotel. Great location w/many dinning options. Nice location in just outside busy downtown, but still close enough to get anywhere in city.

Good hotel in the middle of Old Town

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: Location is great; rooms are quiet.
Cons: Parking is expensive (location makes it difficult to store the car); food is expensive.
Location: Lots to do in Old Town!
We came for a weekend event and needed to change reservations; the staff did what it could for us within the parameters of hotel policy, but the stay was comfortable and quiet. It is a relatively expensive hotel without some of the basic amenities -- coffee in the lobby? -- but a good place to stay.

DISAPOINTED

did NOT MEET THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE STATUS OF A Sheratan HOTEL
