The man who checked me in mumbled and talked really fast, and I could barely understand what he was saying. It's not like there was a line of people behind me so there was no reason to be that rushed. Other than that the rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable...and even though you expect noise when you're in the city, it did seem quite loud.

Pros: Close to public transportation.
Location: Attended a concert at the Tower theatre. Both hotel and theatre were near train stops.
The staff was very helpful. They gave me directions and a map to get me to the concert.

Pros: White bedsheets and bedcover. Close proximity to the 30 street bus terminal.
Cons: Hair found on the bed and in the bathroom. Floor not clean. Stains on the towels. Restaurant very very slow! Food not well prepared!
Front desk staff was pleasant. Barely saw anyone else. Cleaning material left in front of the door for hours.

Convenient

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Cons: For the price, continental breakfast could be included.
... to schools (e.g. Drexel & UPenn). No fridge in the room.

Noisy

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Noise insulation in the rooms is terrible. I was waken at night by neighbours talking on the phone in the middle of the night.

Simple things to fix

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Maids, flagpole
Location: University of Pennsylvania
OK hotel, and not expensive by Philly standards. Two simple things you'd think they'd fix: 1) the maid ignored the "do not disturb" sign and knocked on my door in the morning, and 2) there's a flagpole somewhere on the hotel exterior, and it makes a banging noise all night when it is windy.

Old hotel

Posted Oct 25, 2014
Staff was very nice. The room wasn't clean, there was mold in the bathtub and when you took a shower, you stood in water. A pretty big crack in the ceiling above the window as well.

Pricy but Comfy

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Parking is very convenient with an extra fee (reasonable).
Cons: Free breakfast? I know most expensive hotels do not offer this service. But I would love to have any free food at hotels!
Location: There is a Tang Dynasty restaurant a few blocks away from the hotel. If you love Chinese food, that would be your first choice to have meals.
I booked a room at this hotel at the last minute and spent north of $300 for one night. The hotel staffs were professional and efficient during the check in and check out. The King-size bed I slept on was very comfortable, one the best I have had in decades! There was a free Wi-Fi internet, which is nice (but considering the price of the room, it is a must!) They also have a gym, very spacious and having many choices of equipment. However, the room temperature at the gym was a bit too high for me. In fact, I chose to cool down myself by walking outside the hotel after my workout. Granted, I am a serious gym rat who sweats A LOT while running hard on the treadmill. Overall, I recommend this hotel to travelers, especially those who attend event at UPenn.

Great Hotel only blocks from Penn and Drexel!

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: The staff were nice, it was close to where I had to be and the room was fine.
Cons: The rooms could be updated. Check out was slow on Sunday morning so they could have used more staff for this busy period.
Location: Location was great as my event just a couples of blocks away at Drexel University.
I arrived really late at night/early morning. The check in staff were great. I was upgraded to club level which gave me more access to the hotel and comforts like free soda, yogurt, coffee, bottled water, and even fruit salad!
